Over the past period, a lot has happened.
Among other things, @henosis.ase x @dotlive.agency , where I played a 2 hour hybrid set together with @mindpalace.music for the first time. It was quite a challenge and a completely different approach to creating a set. It taught me a lot again.
It was also a first step toward more collaboration with Mindpalace, more on that soon… 😬🔥
We also finally restarted Radio Smederij, a project I’ve been running for about three years with @_trebbor and @semergy_ This project always brings me a lot of joy, and I’m really happy to see that we’re once again able to welcome so many amazing artists into the booth.
And with a new location comes to step behind the booth myself again.
No peak time energy, but moody and dark tracks, found during late night walks in what have been quite dark and rainy days, weeks, months.
Fortunately, the sun has started to shine a little again.

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of club-oriented radio shows, but tried something new at @maxi.radio last week. To wrap up the month, I switched things up with some bass-heavy downtempo tracks (around 100 BPM) that I was really into last year. I’d never played a full set at this tempo before, but it felt surprisingly natural and I loved the whole ride.

A new year, a new beginning, more than ever this time.
That also goes for @radiosmederij , which we’ve been working hard on for quite a few years now.
It’s a fact that we’ll have to move locations again (more on that soon), and next year will probably bring a lot more changes.
That’s why I wanted to take a quick moment for it.

Certifiably one of the most revered underground DJs of the Netherlands, Job Veerman, better known as Identified Patient, has made a name for himself as an otherworldly storyteller. His leftfield mixes take the listener on a white-knuckle ride of twists and turns. With a trademark sound that drifts between the experimental sides of techno, breaks, acid, dub, and jungle, with no genre, tempo, or mood is off-limits.
