Excited to welcome boss @siumata to the label with his remix of 16K by Yunk. Paris-based French DJ and producer Siu Mata who co-founded the Wajang label in 2018 alongside Amor Satyr, is known for his genre-blending productions that fuse jungle, bass, dembow, dancehall, trance, and tribal percussion. He’s carved out a niche delivering hard-hitting club anthems, often exploring “speed dembow” tempos and wonky basslines.
This remix leans fully into his signature style: a sub-heavy roller that retains Yunk’s haunting lead flute but twisted with Siu Mata’s wompy, breaky energy, club-ready.

This one means a lot.
“U See B” is a two-track micro EP born from a totally unexpected session in the middle of the French countryside — where two worlds collided: Slow Tech activist @sim_mtl and Wajang co-founder @siumata
We met with no plan, no pressure — just mutual curiosity and a deep love for rhythm. What came out of it was pure spontaneity. The title track, “U See B,” is literally the sound of that moment. As we recorded, a dry lightning storm cracked through the sky above us, and somehow, that tension, that electricity, got into the music.
On the B-side, “Erotiks 101,” we went deeper into a, more twisted headspace — warped drums, trancey synths, sensual textures and hypnotic vocals pulling you into a strange, playful space between seduction and distortion.
This project reminds me of how magic can happen when you stay open, trust the process, and let the groove lead. No expectations — just connection, timing, and the power of sound.
