Really really excited about this one
If Youth is an ode to my early 20s, for this second EP on @luckyme I wanted to continue exploring connections I hadn’t (or had only slightly) touched on in my music, even though my DJ sets have been full of those inspirations for years now.
I'm always trying to find how to convey emotions in their rawest form and push the limits of how I can express them to their fullest through music.
To me, Poly Armour is a very personal EP about the creative and destructive power of love. It's full of messy feelings, hopes and dreams, distorted reality, immense joy, and hidden sadness. I'm sure listeners will have their own distinct interpretation of how it makes them feel, and to me that's the beauty of it, it's not mine anymore.

Releasing today on all DSPs is my 2017 bandcamp only release 'Outtakes from Hyul' made those two tracks around the time of the EP but they didn't make the cut.
They were originally given as download for the people who bought the EP back in 2017

Illusion:
This is a bit of a weird one for me. I originally made it because I was asked around the summer of 2019 to send demos for R&S but nothing got accepted. It represents all the illusions of ever "making it" in music for me.
Depicted visually as a scary maze for the Amorama visitors.

CGI Love Affair:
The idea behind this track was a room that simulate an entire love story within a few minutes. I wanted to show musically complexe feelings erupting at random sometimes too fast for the track pace.
It's still one of my favourite from the album today.
For the art we wanted something similar to those holographic add in the last blade runner. Pierre did an amazing job at this.

Spam Escapism:
At first I wanted to make an EP about spams and fake internet identities, this was supposed to be a track on it.
Loved making this mosquito like sound to represent spams.
This part of the track in particular is highly inspired by early french touch
To fit the Amorama universe I thought about robot spams that actually walk beside you in your day to day life to talk about all the new stuff you could use your hard earned money for. Turns out those robots also need a break and escapism this is what this room is about.

Party Soundtrack Generator (PSG):
I wanted to create an intro that would sound like an AI/robot trying to analyse the mood of a crowd of party goer and create music on the spot tailored for them (this aged well 😅). The track is then the pop-iest I could make it back then while staying true to the sound of the previous @paradoxeclub EPs
For the visual we had an hard time deciding how we wanted to represent the AI part I really like what we ended up with. Kind of a ominous one but it fit the theme of the album really well.

When the guys asked me who I’d have in mind for a remix EP of Youth, I immediately thought of my Paradoxe Club mates @le__dom and @ndegrandi , as well as my friend @sylvere__ But I also wanted to include at least one legend from the @luckyme camp, and @lunice is undoubtedly that. For me, this project is a way to celebrate my new collaboration with the label and share this moment with the people I’ve been growing musically alongside for the past 8+ years.
Le Dom's remix of Break Bandit casts a castle-high shadow on the original, taking it into his own unique realm of sound. It’s a place I always find myself drawn back to every time he lets us in.
De Grandi’s ever-evolving approach to sound manipulation turned Cyber Suit Suna into a biomechanical "cyber De Grandi suit". I can't wait to hear this one on a really bass-heavy sound system with my eyes closed.
Sylvere’s take on Promises is one of the most exciting club tracks I’ve heard lately. You should have seen my face when I first heard it! I’m such a fan of Sylvere’s work, and this might just be one of my favorites of his. I’m really happy that people will finally get to hear it.
And Promises got love twice, with Lunice turning it into something truly emotional. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. He blended (what I think is) his voice and signature drums perfectly with the melodies of the original, creating something that’s both hard-hitting and moving.
This is the first time I'm bringing people to remix one of my project and each one here brings something really unique to the table. I’m really proud to have my music reimagined with such creativity. Can’t wait for everyone to experience these new versions of Youth.
