Download track ‘Mantra’ immediately with all Bandcamp pre-orders. - Ramping up the intensity from his 2025 debut, Joe Milli returns to Livity Sound with a spring-loaded EP of upfront club workouts that once again split the difference between techno propulsion and UK Funky swagger. Milli’s previous release, Deep Forest, carried a dubby atmosphere on top of its bassweight rhythms. On this new four-track EP, the shroud lifts and he leans in on raw, impactful drums and sparse sound fields. ‘Retreat’ piles percussion into an uptempo stomper with a looped intensity and carnival accents on top, and ‘Mantra’ offers a similar 4/4 thrust around the 140 mark. Meanwhile, ‘Revival’ locks down low into a heavy dembow-informed groove and ‘The Less You Know’ prizes tense, precisely arranged hand drums with a minimal finish primed for creative blends. Zeroing in on stark, heads-down production for the club, the Repetitions EP offers a different slant on Milli’s emergent, sharply executed sound.

Over the past few years Milli has been establishing his sound across a swathe of radio shows, guest mixes and releases, and he lands on Livity with a timeless take on the label’s commitment to stripped back, atmospheric soundsystem music. There’s variety across the Deep Forest EP, ranging from the balmy bassweight house of the title track to the deep-diving dub pulses and bruk drum science of ‘Look Again’. ‘Keep That Wire’ draws nervous energy from its synth hooks and the taut, angular beat before the rolling Detroit techno pulse of ‘Expressions’ brings the EP home in punchy, percussion-loaded style. In line with past releases from the likes of Bakongo, DJ Polo and Tribal Brothers, Milli’s strength lies in his ability to bend the UK funky formula to different styles, all precision-tooled for the club.

The curation is looking on point and we’re shining a light on the special guest artists and that will be joining us on the night. JOE MILLI Hailing from South London Joe is a former Rinse FM & Balamii resident with a current show on SWUFM. Joe’s sound is eclectic and percussive exploring rich layered grooves covering many different production styles. Summer 2025 saw Milli land on Livity Sound with his EP “Deep Forest” an assured collection of crisp club workouts that land between techno’s evocative depth and UK funky’s off-beat, drum-focused functionality. In 2025 the south londoner has had had tracks on “Funky Adjecent”. SHARNIE Driven by her love for diverse sounds, Sharnie has crafted an uncompromising DJ style that consistently loosens up dance floors. Seamlessly blending UK Bass and techno with broken, percussive, dubbed out rhythms, she champions new sounds while also educating with early gems. Her bi-weekly radio show on Rinse FM brings forth the freshest electronic music releases and emerging UK genres, solidifying her status as a top selector on, and off air. Hailing from Birmingham, you can catch her in her element in booths across the UK and beyond. LOUF Louf is the alias of Louis Fitton, British producer and co-founder of Valby Rotary Records, which he started in 2016 with fellow producer and frequent collaborator Tom VR. Based in London, Louf has had a steady output of EPs since 2018, mingling club-style dance music with ambient synths and minimalistic tweaks to develop a compelling and soothing style of contemporary IDM.

Following a standout live set at Avalon Cafe and the release of his debut album Morpho, Benyayer returns to London for his first headline show of 2026 at one of our favourite intimate venues, The Waiting Room, on Friday March 13th. We’ve curated a special line up around the night, featuring a live set from Louf, whose music speaks to a modern, introspective strain of electronic sound, balancing emotional weight with meticulous design. London favourites Joe Milli and Sharnie open and close the party. Milli is the South London producer behind the acclaimed Deep Forest EP on Livity Sound and his standout Crack Copies single “Like That” ft. Hackney MC Razor, while Sharnie brings her uncompromising UK bass and techno selections honed through her Rinse FM residency.
