I am very pleased to announce that pre-orders are now available for the new 12-inch vinyl record from Big Science, a split EP between @nast_is_nvst and myself, to be released on December 19th, and distributed by @oneyewitness . It’s been a minute since our last vinyl release by Leo James, and we’re excited to be back with an ultra-limited, hand-stamped pressing. Four tracks total: two from each of us. We’re constantly making, exchanging, and living through music — daily, weekly, endlessly. “Nothing is real, nothing exists,” says NVST. And yet, this release feels like a moment where the invisible becomes tangible — the private tracks we’ve shared and cherished with each other now find their place in the world. They’re here. SPECIAL EVENT Saturday 9th May we will welcome the @almost.free.services After Party at Transit to celebrate his Solo show at @obeyartspace (Paris) and Pop up (Amsterdam). For this occasion we invite @warzou_bigscience to DJ with a boosted soundsystem. Warzou is a dj and producer known for his distinctive hybrid sound that mines industrial dub, slower techno, UK Bass and experimental electronics. He is the co-founder of the influential Big Science Records label and his music has been also released on labels such as HSS, Nous disques, ZZZen, Etherwerks, Bardouin Music, Macadam Mambo and Kump. SONIC CLUB Samedi 25 avril avec OJOO + Warzou + Hang the Dj 22:00 > 03:45 10-11€ Ojoo (dub to distortion, Bruxelles) Ojoo est une musicienne, selecta et organisatrice née au Maroc et basée à Bruxelles, dont le travail se situe à la croisée du son, de la politique et de la communauté, le tout façonné par la puissance physique écrasante des basses. Élevée dans la culture des CD bootleg et façonnée par la contrainte, ojoo a trouvé sa voix dans les zones de tension entre dubplate et distorsion. Pas de lignes nettes, pas de transitions policées. Juste des mix bruts, des rythmes bétonnés, des sirènes et du silence. Elle s’est produite à Unsound, Out.fest, Dekmantel, mais il est tout aussi probable de l’entendre faire vibrer des basses dans des soirées squat en entrepôt ou participer à des ateliers d’égalisation dub hors réseau. Ses émissions régulières sur Kiosk (Bruxelles) et Noods (Bristol) lui permettent de développer son univers au-delà du dancefloor. WARZOU (techno/dub/indus/bass, Lyon) Designer et cofondateur du label Big Science, Warzou est un DJ et producteur basé à Lyon. Son univers sonore se déploie à la croisée du dub industriel, de la techno, de la Bass et d’expérimentations électroniques, dessinant une approche singulière et éclectique. Ses productions sont parues sur plusieurs labels indépendants tels que Accidental Meetings, HSS, ou KUMP, et prolonge son univers sonore à travers différents remixes pour des artistes tels que Gil.Barte, NVST, Subsism, Flower B ou encore STS. Ses sets ont été diffusés sur différentes stations radios, dont The Lot Radio à New York, Rinse FM à Paris et Kiosk Radio à Bruxelles, et sur scène, aux côtés d’artistes comme Pariah, Pearson Sound, NVST, Mika Oki ou Brodinski.
