The truth is, history didn’t end… it was just never fully told. “When the Guns Fell Silent” by Dr Ceceilia Umoren is not just a book, it is a living archive of real experiences from the Nigerian Civil War. Stories of survival, loss, and strength. Having my father, Chief Agunze Ikokwu’s story documented, and being able to read a part of it, was deeply personal for me. It felt necessary. There were people in that room in their 50s who were only just learning about the war. It made me realise how much has been buried, how many narratives have been shaped by pain, and how much of what we see today is rooted in survival. The panel was heavy… filled with trauma, wisdom, and truth. A reminder that silence does not equal healing, and that history must be told by those who lived it. The trauma was loud. The need for healing, even louder. More stories like this need to be told. More voices need to be heard. It was an honour to lend my voice to something so important, so honest, and so necessary. 🤍 P.s - What’s a story from your family’s experience that was never told but you wish to share? 🙏🏽🍀 #whenthegunsfellsilent #booklaunch #reading #nigeriancivilwar #bringbackhonesthistory

In industries built by men, for men, these women didn’t ask for permission. They showed up, outworked the room, and rewrote what leadership looks like in some of Nigeria’s most demanding sectors. This International Women’s Day, Vallzubby Resources wants to spotlight five Nigerian women whose impact cuts across oil & gas, engineering, construction, and beyond. Women who didn’t just survive male-dominated industries, but rose to the very top of them. To every woman building, drilling, designing and leading in Nigeria’s industrial space; this one is for you. 🌸🔧 Happy International Women’s Day 2026. Swipe to meet five women who make us proud. 👉🏾

It’s March! It Women’s Month! 💜 Kicked off the International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026 celebrations on a high note as I joined the HerFidelity Female Apprenticeship Programme by @fidelitybankplc as a Special Guest of Honour, alongside other distinguished leaders, celebrating the power of investing in women. A Female initiative launched under the leadership of @fidelitybankplc @nneka.onyeali.ikpe with the distinguished presence of Two Lagos State Commissioners Hon. Folasade Ambrose Medebem and Hon. Bolaji Cecilia Dada. It was a good moment of reconnection with others @ngoziekeoma_ and @omonodike @chetwithgrace @harribaharry The message was clear: When we invest in women, we multiply impact. 💜 #IWD2026 #GiveToGain #HerFidelity #ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴᴇᴍᴘᴏᴡᴇʀɪɴɢᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ

This marked the launch of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) — an initiative created to strengthen leadership pipelines, governance participation, and professional advancement for women across the energy sector. What began as a convening has since evolved into a platform supporting mentorship, representation, and institutional engagement across industry, policy, and enterprise. Looking back, this moment reflects the importance of building structures that outlast individuals and contribute to long-term sector resilience.
