Love is beautiful, Anywhere. ✨🌈 We designed a custom t-shirt and 100% of the profits will be donated to @casa1 , a Brazilian NGO that hosts and supports LGBTQIA+ youth. Please share and support this project. Right now, U$1 is ~ R$5, so every purchase means a significant amount of money when converted into Reais. Link to purchase in bio. Thanks @futureprintclub and @everpresshq for the collab! Check the link in our bio. The t-shirt features the rarely told timeline of the Brazilian queer fight for civil rights. 🏳️‍🌈 We're so proud to be able to use design to spread this necessary and urgent message. Let's celebrate our history.

2018 / visual identity for @arpoador.rio beach bar Arp is Arpoador Hotel’s beach bar located close to the Pedra do Arpoador – a rocky peninsula that separates the Rio’s iconic Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. The spot has been part of the city’s facade for years and it was fully renovated in 2018 with cuisine by renowned chef Roberta Sudbrack. This visual identity takes inspiration on brazilian “tropical modernism”, finding a balance between sophistication and relaxation. At the hotel all the windows are circular so a custom logotype was made from 3 perfect circles. Arp is almost in the sand, then the visuals are inspired by a top-view look of beach umbrellas which results in an interesting pattern of decorated circles. Risography was the elected printing technique resembling the grain from the sand and a nostalgic vibe. The final result is geometric and simple matching the hotel’s architecture and purpose. photography: @_wendyandrade , Leonardo Finotti, Samuel Antonini print: @risotrip

To highlight Wendy’s poetic vein, the typographic treatment is inspired by visual poetry, interlacing voices and creating layers of narrative with Wendy’s voice as the narrator. The visual narrative captures the movement of the jump, reflecting temporality and progression. Eu Consigo Te Ver Feliz is currently on sale on @_actarte website. “Eu Consigo Te Ver Feliz (I Can See You Happy)” is the first book by photographer and artist @_wendyandrade , published by @_actarte , designed by us with @dasclucas . The book brings together photographs of choreographed jumps and contemplative scenes of Black youth on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Paired with the artist’s poetry and essays by Ana Paula Vitorio and Eder Chiodetto, the images explore the sea as a symbol of resistance, ancestry, playfulness, and transformation. Inspired by visual poetry, the design layers voices and narratives, with Wendy’s words at the center. The layouts and compositions capture the movement of the body and the flow of time, while a shifting color palette—from orange to blue—mirrors the sky’s transformation across a day. “A poesia e a intencionalidade do trabalho do Wendy. Cada escolha tipográfica, de composição e de layout busca representar a poesia visual e a tensão entre palavras e imagens que atravessam seu trabalho.” “O foco está no corpo negro, no mar, na plasticidade do movimento e nas histórias que emergem a partir daí. Assim como os meninos saltam, imagens e palavras também.” #WendyAndrade #Fotografia

For over 3 years, we have been teaching "Decodificando Identidades" at Aprender Design Brasil. During this time, we conducted over 10 live courses, mentored more than 30 projects, and met 125+ exceptional students. Now, together with Aprender Design, it's time to take the next step 🌎 We are thrilled to announce the first international edition of our course this October! There will be 7 live classes, entirely in English, held in the EST time zone. A joint exercise to establish methodologies, foster critical thinking, connect information, and investigate the process of creating authentic and impactful visual identity systems — culminating in a final project with 1:1 mentorship. Teaching has been an incredible opportunity for us. We've had the chance to share a space with a diverse group of people from different backgrounds, and in the process, we've learned a lot together. We can't wait to meet our new students from all around the world. Apply now to save your spot 👩🏽‍💻Link in bio.

#tbt Remember a time when we worked from home because we wanted to and then we went to Peru right before there was a global lockdown and got a silver award at the Latin American Design Awards’ branding category for our project ARP and didn’t tell anyone here at all? 👀 Well, that happened. This year. And we’re still very proud. Thank you @latinamericandesign ! 🌈✨
