Rietveld comes in four cuts. Two proportional fonts in regular and bold. And corresponding monospaced fonts, also in regular and bold.

Rietveld is a geometric typeface based on the design of Maxeville, following its proportions. Expanding the idea of constructed typography. The Rietveld family is designed in the Dutch tradition of reduction and soberness and influenced by the work of Gerrit Rietveld, more so of his colleague and fellow De Stijl member Bart van der Leck. Specifically, his studies of deconstructing images to abstract compositions and his typographic expressions from the 1930s’. Resulting in letterforms composed exclusively from vertical, horizontal and diagonal shapes - creating an abstract but legible rhythm.
▫️ Maxeville Update
I've been working on some small revisions of Maxeville, mostly invisible. But I had the idea for quite a while to straighten the lowercase a. As it would be more in line with the geometric structure of the typeface. So I thought this would be a good time to introduce it.
If you've licensed Maxeville in the past – you now have a very exclusive version, as the old curved 'a' is gone for good. But if you like the updated version as well, just send me an email with the receipt to [email protected], and I will send you the font(s).
Reformat B, a versatile typeface that fills the gap between 19th century grotesques and 20th century neo-grotesk styles. Rather than a direct revival, Reformat is influenced by historic examples to produce our own interpretation of these genres. Resulting in a practical design with more considered and nuanced letterforms.
Reformat is divided into two sub-families (A & B) with consistent proportions, balancing between calculated and organic characters. Each sub-family features a corresponding display style with emphasized details.

On a personal note, Reformat was an exercise to regain control of my own graphic output and no longer having to rely on typefaces from big corporations 👀. All typefaces in the SM library are based on a concept rather than its purpose. With Reformat I wanted to turn it around to design a versatile and reliable typeface.

Affairs is a compact geometric serif typeface with three styles in total (Regular, Italic with a Monospace cut). Its geometric structure and sleek curves give it a functional but soft character, allowing it to be applied in both formal and informal settings.
