13 years ago @orlandoleopard and I started our recording studio in Haggerston @baltic_studios_ There have been many noteworthy moments but nothing quite as exciting for the business as the opening of our two new studios this year. Studio 2 is a large, open-plan daylight studio, catering to orchestral work, writing camps, bands, filmed recording & everything in between designed in collaboration with @ejrbarnes (interior architecture) & @jakerudd (technical design) Studio 3 is fitted and finely tuned as an atmos mixing and mastering suite but also doubles up as a multipurpose production room with a separate recording booth with a Yamaha U1 Piano and the ability to host smaller recording sessions. And yes, it sounds as good as it looks! ;) Orlando’s continued obsession with top tier vintage equipment has led him across Europe and even the US hunting for the best possible microphones and gear to furnish these new studios (tech specs on our website - ). As I stepped back from the day to day running of Baltic a few years back, a fantastic team has joined us to drive the studio forwards. It has been nothing short of amazing for me to see their dedication and hard work in striving for excellence in design, sound quality, making sure the musicians who use the space have an amazing experience alongside pushing our goal of building a community full of passionate likeminded creatives centered around the studios. So an enormous thanks to my brother Orlando for his commitment and dedication and to our incredible team @evielikesmusic @digby_music & @lottiefield Also enormous thanks to everyone who built the spaces. Sonic wizard @jakerudd who was brave enough to come back for round 2 and take on all the technical design of Studio 2. @baltic_studios_ We’ve been pretty quiet for a while now, a couple of years even. In the shadows, we’ve been going through a drawn-out process to breathe new life into Baltic: a new team, new spaces, new gear, new non-profit programme, and new look. Nothing’s ever finished. There’s plenty licks of paint (figurative and real) still to come. But we finally feel ready to start letting the cat crawl slowly out the bag. Closer looks at the all-new Studio 2 and Studio 3 to come, but first we’re excited to go live with a bit of a new digital look. I love scoring films, it gives me the chance to collaborate with some amazing creative people and explore so many emotions and stories through the use of sound and music. Having done a lot of it these last few years I’m very happy to be carving out the time for some new solo music and visual work - bringing a smile to my face ;) - more on that soon! First night out this year for the @zebragirlfilm premiere at Vue - Picadilly! Had so much fun scoring this film ✌️ So nice to be back in cinemas and finally see this on the big screen. Shout out to superstar director @stephzari & lead lady @sarahlroy (top left) great performances from Sarah, @tom_cullen @jadeanouka Apparently I enjoyed myself so much I missed the photo ops lol - just a cheeky pic out front before the wine was served.... Zebra girl is hitting the cinemas this Friday!

Amazing to hear our film @thebloodbride picked up another two awards at Miami Intl Sci-Fi Film Festival @miamiscifi ✨ We won Best Sci-Fi Thriller - Short, and ‘Best Editing - Short’, and we were also nominated for ‘Best Costume Design - Short’. Huge shout out to our extremely talented editor Matylda Dymek who did such an amazing and creative job weaving the many worlds and aesthetics of this film together. Also to our incredible costume designer @oh.cronk who made some extraordinary original pieces for this film and battled some fairly extreme conditions (in the Outer Hebrides in particular!), somehow managing to deliver immaculate costumes in gale force winds!
