Brazilian composer and multi-instrumentalist @allseedsneto blends percussive guitar, warm vocals, and traditional rhythms with jazz, samba, and forró on his debut album Amú, released via Melbourne’s @music.in.exile . Now based in Narrm/Melbourne, the record draws on memories of his Brazilian childhood and the influence of masters like Airto Moreira and Egberto Gismonti, unfolding as a breezy, heartfelt set of soulful compositions brought to life by a jazz ensemble. We’re thrilled to be working with the inimitable @shabakahutchings on his new album ‘OF THE EARTH’. 

Last week, Shabaka unveiled ‘A Future Untold’ / ‘Marwa The Mountain’, heralding the announcement of his forthcoming self written, produced, performed and mixed album due for release in March via his newly-minted imprint Shabaka Records. The new long player is a deeply personal offering, which establishes Shabaka as a new form of instrumentalist / producer and shows the musical range that connects his dynamic work from groups Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming to the intricate textural sound world of his recent solo works (‘Perceive its Beauty, Acknowledge Its Grace’+ ‘Afrikan Culture’) This album marks Shabaka’s first recording made after a year and a half not playing the saxophone and a reckoning as to what his time on flutes primarily has shown him to be the future for his relationship with the instrument.   An exciting and authentic new offering from a true maestro, it sets pulses racing for the winding rabbit hole of sound that awaits listeners on the forthcoming album.
