Like Someone I Know - A Celebration of Margo Guryan. My heart is so full it could explode ❣️ After what feels like a lifetime of adoring the music of Margo Guryan, I had the great honor and privilege of producing Like Someone I Know, an homage to Margo Guryan’s Take a Picture, with a portion of proceeds going to providing and advocating for affordable reproductive health services. @rosnerpub and I hatched the idea and set to work years ago, and like magic, the record will come out Nov. 8th on @subpop , three years to the day since Margo’s passing. I am so grateful to Jonathan and Margo’s family for trusting me with this colossal undertaking. To each of the musicians who poured their hearts into these songs, to the managers, producers, Madalyn, and the many friends who lent a hand, to tk_one, @nick_duncs , and all the folks at Sub Pop who trusted us to guide this ship, and to all the new friends we made along the way – thank you from the bottom of my heart. Somehow, today marks the one year anniversary of Like Someone I know, a humble attempt to offer flowers and pay tribute to Margo Guryan, a brilliant musician who never got the recognition she deserved in her lifetime. Today also marks the four year anniversary of her passing ❤️ I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with @rosnerpub  and the @subpop team on the release, a portion of proceeds from which goes to providing and advocating for affordable reproductive health services ~ a cause Margo herself proudly championed.
