I’d love to use this moment to thank many folks and reflect a bit on my DJing and collecting / archiving journey in 2025. Swipe to see highlights from my DJ practice and record collection this year, along with my top five vinyl finds.
We entered 2025 with some big ideas. I wanted to start a deep-listening night inspired by my experience at Edo’s (
@vintagevoudou ) listening session in Amsterdam. I wanted to try my hand at running a monthly party of my own at
@studio151nyc , building on everything I’d learned with
@rawlikesushi_nyc over the past couple of years. And DANCE!—an idea
@rachelonrotation ,
@vikmatic ,
@rik.kan , and I had been flirting with towards the end of 2024 felt ready to become a real, recurring party with a home.
These thoughts in the mind turned into
@groove___obscura ,
@office___hours.nyc , and
@ofthe___sun .
None of these would have been possible without
@jscott27 ,
@dutyfreerecords ,
@__kxah ,
@ilhanersahin , and Billy Jones 🕊️, who all believed in who all believed in me and offered space.
Taking on three monthly events that all begin in the same month (February) is a tall task and definitely added more anxiety to my life. But nearly a year later, I couldn’t be happier with how each has grown into its own identity, and with how much I’ve learned through nurturing all three in parallel.
Those commitments also meant I couldn’t travel as much this year as I might’ve liked. Still, in February, I had the opportunity to collaborate with my mom,
@amaeyzd , on the first of three explorations in sonic meditation at
@envelopsoundin San Francisco (word to
@at.simon.gregory !). Later in May and October, my mom and I continued exploring the intersection of sound baths and ambient percussive vinyl at
@silenceplease .
In late summer, I was grateful to tour London and Paris in August and September. Huge thanks to
@rohanshastri ,
@babak_jani ,
@skyrager ,
@sajiabude ,
@eshie.d ,
@yustagramm ,
@juan_vignon , and
@luckyrobinrecords for helping make that trip happen. I grew tremendously during that stretch and came home with many new friendships.

Big ups to
