Authors: Adriana García @theuntitled.jpg & Valeria Otero @valeriaotero.arch Title: The Logo Description: This logo features a simple yet precise design. The design is based on a 2:4 1/2 black parallelograms, divided in two. We started by proportionally incorporating the necessary grid lines to make the letters “A” and “U”. To form the “A”, we included the circle, letting it cut through the figure, and ultimately portray the word “Arch” behind our logo.

Author: Anna Kamińska @ankatecture Title: The Institute of Revolutionary Health Description: “This project reimagines the Wormwood Scrubs Prison site as the Institute of Revolutionary Health: a vision of ‘Public Luxury’ where access to health and expressive architecture is a right, not a privilege. Developed around a structural logic of repetition, the proposal features a series of glulam screens forming the basis for three greenhouses and core towers, all connected to four masonry blocks. The design supports a wider programme focused on reuse and sustainability. The Radical Hedonism group (Anna Kamińska, Imene Aida Merzougui @iam__arch_ , Jay Patel @jayp.arch ) celebrates the idea that architecture can host collective rituals - festivals, meals, gatherings. The proposal explores how built space can nurture community. What was once a space of isolation is reimagined as a civic playground, full of flavour, rhythm, and joy.” Studio: DS15 Studio @ds15studio Professors: Sean Griffiths @sean_griffiths1 and Matteo Sarno @matteo.lnd School: University of Westminster @uniwestminster @openstudio_wm

Authors: Mohammad Tajuddin @mtajarch Title: StudioKüle Description: StudioKüle is an adaptive reuse architectural design project based in the Yediküle neighbourhood in Istanbul, Türkiye. The project tackles the Yediküle gasworks remains, a very valuable and important part of Istanbul’s industrial and architectural heritage. Often with adaptive reuse projects on industrial structures, the identity of the previous function and atmosphere of the site can get lost or overshadowed. However, this project makes it a point to celebrate and amplify this identity and work in tandem with it to revive the production activity that was once thriving on this same site. Focusing on conserving the remaining exterior walls of the two main hangars, and adding a roof that connects them both and adds deeper context to the space in between them. The newly proposed function to the space, an architectural design campus, acts as a bridge between Istanbul’s older industrial production with a design oriented, creative production. Title: TWA Hotel Description: Did you know the TWA Hotel at JFK used to be an actual airport terminal? Designed by Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962, the iconic swooping building was TWA’s flagship terminal until the airline shut down in 2001. It sat empty for years before being transformed into one of NYC’s coolest hotels in 2019 (and the original terminal is now the lobby!). #TWA #architecture #TWAhotel #nyc #design

Author: Josephine Pun @cloudijo Title: The Lantern Description: Nestled in the embrace of the city, the luminous pavilion emerges as a contemplation on the voracious cycle of consumption. Its gentle luminescence is an alluring invitation to be mesmerised by the sight of light dancing upon the water within. Made out of over 5,000 upcycled plastic water bottles — a staggering quantity that mirrors the relentless pace of bottle disposal in Singapore recurring every 7 minutes — The Lantern is a sobering physical embodiment of our collective harm to the environment. Yet, by harnessing the beauty of these upcycled materials, The Lantern is also a symbol of renewal and a call for bolder, innovative design approaches to shape a more sustainable future.

With a gap carved out, hikers rush in. Inside, the raw, mineral space evokes the rock’s origins. A true imprint of the quarry, where shadows and edges sculpt a timeless refuge. Then, in this silent darkness, a crack lets in thin rays of light, framing a fragment of landscape that becomes a frozen moment, outside the outside world. Outside, the stone has blended into its new environment, covered with a skin of wood that interacts with the living landscape. The monolith is no longer a relic, but a living presence, a balance between the history of the place and its future.” Competition: Festival des Cabanes d’Annecy 2025 @festivaldescabanes

Author: Noah Spivak @n__spivak Title: Systems for Hybrid Atmospheres Description: “Work From the Urban Sampling Studio generating new energy systems to incorporate into housing typologies and public space. These images display a series of Hybrid Objects created from systems of waste heat to energy processes. The project utilizes water as a carrier of temperatures, nutrients, and moisture to create affectual and atmospheric conditions produced by both infrastructure and living that both inform and respond to contextual environments. By curating the atmosphere in relation to the architectural experience and seasonality emergent spatial opportunities are created. The model displays the intricate hybridization of the data center with the residence creating a new typology of living data center that utilizes the waste heat from the servers to both heat the building and generate electricity. This hybrid also provides data as an economic benefit to residents and looks at the importance of bringing attention to data centers as their demand increases in this new age.” Professor: Alex Tahinos @tahinos Teaching Assistant: Inmo Kang @_inmo_omni_ School: Pratt Institute, School of Architecture @prattsoa @prattinstitute @pratt_galaud

Authors: Yingzhe Fan @zo.zo._ , Xintong Zhu @luc.cc.cy Title: Stacking Hug Description: “This project involves renovation and expansion to establish a new design school on the site of the IMSS in Mexico City, reusing one-third of the original building. Mexico City is a ‘floating’ city expanded from small islands in the center of a lake, constantly rebuilt after various disasters. New and old layers are stacked together. Therefore, from a perspective of reuse, we aim to expand outward from the IMSS building, layer by layer with minimal demolishing of the existing structures.” Professor: Darin Johnstone @darin_johnstone_architects School: SCI-ARC @sciarc

Author: Felix Blanch @fb_design1 , Delaney McMorris @delaneymc_16 Title: AD4 - Timber Living Complex Description: This proposal for an apartment complex in Troy, New York for Architectural Design Studio 4 at RPI SoA pushes the boundaries of what mass timber building design can be. Intended as a contemporary monument to be placed in the gilded age historic center of Troy, the design employs new strategies for living, public engagement and ecologically responsiveness. A raised corner that serves two merging retail spaces, a diverse range of living spaces and a system of slats that control lighting and heating create a unique concept for what urban living could be in Troy.
