Title: The Institute of Revolutionary Health
Description: “This project reimagines the Wormwood Scrubs Prison site as the Institute of Revolutionary Health: a vision of ‘Public Luxury’ where access to health and expressive architecture is a right, not a privilege.
Developed around a structural logic of repetition, the proposal features a series of glulam screens forming the basis for three greenhouses and core towers, all connected to four masonry blocks. The design supports a wider programme focused on reuse and sustainability.
The Radical Hedonism group (Anna Kamińska, Imene Aida Merzougui @iam__arch_ , Jay Patel @jayp.arch ) celebrates the idea that architecture can host collective rituals - festivals, meals, gatherings. The proposal explores how built space can nurture community. What was once a space of isolation is reimagined as a civic playground, full of flavour, rhythm, and joy.”

Title : Wormwood Scrubs Stadium
Description: “Football once belonged to the people — now it’s owned by profit, not passion.
Wormwood Scrubs Stadium envisions a future where football is reclaimed by communities. Set in a post-capitalist society, the proposal transforms the site of HMP Wormwood Scrubs in North West London into a fan-owned football stadium.
The scheme centres on adaptive reuse and sustainable construction. The existing Victorian masonry prison is retained and repurposed as much as possible, while a new glulam timber structure forms the spectator stands and roof. Historic ornamental features are carefully preserved.
The project explores how football stadiums can serve not just as sports venues, but as British cultural landmarks, and places that foster belonging, memory and community.”

“The Arts Collective: Where
Artists Leave their mark on
every surface. As activists,
artists and community reclaim
the space, the de-growth of a
slower-paced society affords
more free time, unlocking
creative exploration and
expression. Moving the
capitalist notion of leisure
centred on consumerism. A
vibrant retreat for the local
community and beyond dedicated to fostering arts, music and literature. ”
Part of the “Art Revolution” Group.
Group manifesto: ”The Art Revolution has taken over Wormwood Scrubs to create an Eco-socialist nucleus
where art and post capitalism sit side by side, after local government fundings rapidly
decreasing for culture and leisure facilities. Art is now at the intersection of labour and
free time, allowing mutual care, creativity and learning and community work as the key
objectives. Comprised of an Arts Centre, debating space and Circus performance ”

‘Built from brick and arches, this
space is a matriarchal
revolution in form. A central
garden invites women to gather,
rest, and connect, while inside,
workshops buzz with making,
learning, and creativity. This is
more than a building—it’s a
space for women to grow,
together.’

Group Manifesto: ‘As we dismantle capitalism in pursuit of a just, eco-socialist future, we are also uprooting the patriarchy to build a new matriarchal society. This is a city build for women, by women. This city celebrates feminine agency and collective strength. Women thrive here, enjoying vibrant spaces like the theatre, cinema, public baths, spas, galleries, workshops, libraries, gardens, and hospitals. Meanwhile, men
contribute by caring for children and the elderly, nurturing the foundations of this reimagined society.’
