Bombay Beach Bienalle was wild and wonderful. I could’ve remained in that suspended state of Bliss for days. Respect to all the artists and participants who travelled to the end of the world to make it what it was. Thaks to @jerzydelmar for putting all his love in and building an incredible sounding system. And to @solarpunks.club for powering the Sub club with just the light of the Sun. It’s so refreshing not to have a stinky generator spluttering away in the background.
See you next year. Pic by @markreadphotography
There is a weird little ghost town by the Salton Sea called Bombay Beach, a forlorn outpost , the bones of an environmental catastrophe where fellow artists, weirdos and misfits gather for much of the year. However, upon occasion it becomes formalised to form The Bombay Beach Bienalle an event, happening and celebration where all manner of weird and wonderful experiences are to be had. Where you can get out of your comfort zone, immerse yourself in art, philosophy talks, Opera, poetry, architecture, eat crickets, ponder impending dystopia, re invigorate your activism and meet your tribe of fellow renegades and outlaws. The Sub club is the lowest club in the world. It is a huge hole dug into the beach, a wonderful space. The sound is completely solar powered. I have the honour of programming the music for it and we have a wonderful lineup for you. Come on down tonight or tomorrow and revel in the absurdity of it all, together

JTMF Presents A Dance Therapy Session w/ @adamfreeland !! From London’s underground to the Mojave desert.
Adam Freeland came up in ‘90s London club culture, helping shape the sound that became breakbeat.. where trip hop’s emotion, drum & bass weight, and house instinct collided.
Founder of Marine Parade Records. Fabric resident. His anti-establishment anthem “We Want Your Soul” took him interstellar.
Then came The Acid, his Grammy-nominated band on Mute Records that blurred the lines between electronic music and cinematic storytelling.
After that? He went off-grid. Deep in the Mojave near Joshua Tree. A decade of silence. Rarely playing out.
Now he’s back, doing what he does best: telling stories with sound. Deep, dub, drone-soaked psychedelic left-field housey breakbeats... and way beyond.
🚀Let’s go Interstellar

This is my new piece called ‘The Epstein files’
It looks very simple, but I actually wrote a profoundly compelling story and then spent several months carefully removing the content pixel by pixel.
What’s left is a shadow more potent than the story, a homeopathic truth.
Adam Freeland, Bi Disc, Camea and Hiro Ama’s Remixes of my album Without Us are out today!
Adam Freeland — whom I met in the desert while working on the album and later also worked in his Joshua Tree studio — remixed Paradise O.D. I’d been a fan of his since the early 2000s, I still remember my friend Nano traveling to Berlin to see him play when we were both living in Wiesbaden and I was gutted I couldn’t go.
Bi Disc — an old Wiesbaden friend now based in Rome — delivered a remix for Steady. Back when we all lived in Berlin he played in the band Abby, which had all sorts of overlaps with our band BBF. Somehow almost everyone in their band was called Philipp.
Hiro Ama — stellar drummer and member of Teleman — created a bruk-leaning remix* for Paradise O.D., reminds me of the Plastic People days.
And Camea giving pure rave energy with her remix for Resistance, reminiscent of right after our show at the Barbican in April.
I also made a remix myself. I don’t know why but I felt I had to.
Happy streaming and downloading!
*Hiro Ama Remix is available as Bonus Track only when you buy the EP on Bandcamp
It’s been a lifelong dream to sail around the world, an opportunity came up to take the first step. We are currently about 150 miles of the coast of Western Sahara heading towards the Cape Verde Islands where we’ll make a brief stop en route to Antigua. Been pretty seasick these first couple of days (no fun) but I think my legs have now grown. We’ve got fantastic bunch of characters on board Calypso. Nine of us in all. If you fancy tracking our progress put, ‘Calypso of Cowes’ into a Marine tracking app like MarineTraffic or Boat watch. I’ve just had some Dj gigs confirmed in Argentina in February 🇦🇷🤘. So after the Caribbean gonna head left and travel through Colombia (by land) en route. Love and dolphins. 🐬
Delighted to be invited back to play BALANCE Croatia in August. Always a joy to play for and alongside people so passionate about music 🌈
