Next week! @adamfreeland playing @mojavegolddesert presented by @joshuatreemusicfestival should be fantastic! I hand painted embellishments on a batch of the posters. They'll be available at the show. Thanks again, too everyone involved, for the opportunity!

Went to @intersectartanddesign yesterday. Absolutely amazing display of art! Top notch galleries and artists from around the country. If you are in the Palm Springs area, today or tomorrow, do yourself a favor and check it out. Extra fun for me to see a piece by an artist I know! Pictured is a beautiful piece by Rosalind Tallmadge. Represented here by GW Gallery. Check out her ethereal work and the rest of the impressive collection represented by that gallery. Thank you to the wonderful artists and gallerist that I had the pleasure of chatting with, I left very inspired.

Morongo Basin # 150 5x7" Acrylic on Linen Panel It is fun to hit little milestones. This painting represents a few. Surprised it has taken me 6+ years of living here to hit 150. But I am happy with how I've gotten there.

View of Rotterdam, from the Depot Museum. Acrylic on Linen 11x14"( 27x35cm) This painting is made from a photo I took in May of 2024. This was the view for me to catch my breath. Behind me is one of the single most impressive rooms of art I have ever been in, in both quality and scope. Hung in a way, using glass panes, that was novel to me and allowed the observation of the backs of the works. Which for an artist and history nerd, was a delightful surprise, seeing the whole piece. But I cannot understate the breadth of art in the room! From Dutch Masters to Basquiat. Then this view. Also, not to be emphatic but, this museum @boijmans is well worth the visit. The building itself is a work of art. Which can sometimes hinder the ability to experience the art, but in this case was exceptionally well balanced. The rest of the museum, the ability to see in on art storehouses, archivists workspaces, and the amazing central staircase are all exceptional. Hope to make it back some day!

So you can buy the original screenprinted poster( $15 for 8x10" or $20 for 12x18") or you can buy any of these uniquely painted versions of the same poster( $40 for 8x10" or $60 for 12x18")

After a couple years of doing a few show posters I have come back to my love of screen printing. And through those show posters I've developed this new process I really like. I do a single color screen print and then a percentage of the prints I hand paint. Giving me the chance to have a lot of fun with color and paint while creating affordable original art. So I decided to do a series of posters local flora and fauna. Here are the first four 8x10" and first two 12x18" prints in this series.

It's that time of year again. The wonderful @jessiekeylon has let me do a pop-up in her studio gallery, while away for the summer. Today and the next couple weekends, I'll be here in Pioneertown from on Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm. A bunch of new art from the last year and a fun project I finally executed, more on that in the next post. Come say hello and check it out. Right next to @mazamarartpottery on Mane St.
