hello,
my album is out today. it's a collection of tracks i made between 2016 and 2022. they sound like what life felt like at the time. tension, frustration, anxiety. it's not perfect and i like it that way - i believe there's a bit of innocence and naivety left in there.

a massive thanks to Jake. quite a few of these tracks were made during the time i was producing with his label @even.the.strong in mind, which helped me shape and narrow my style to an extent i was never really able to achieve prior to this connection.
Valentin for the help and support gathering tracks which were spread across way too many computers and hard drives. Vincent, William and Fiona for the never-ending feedback and inspiration over the years. Joana for the constant support and motivation. ❤️

Le musicien veveysan @nic_as_well sort son premier album, « Prone », ce vendredi ! Il sera verni en direct à la @_lacgallery le même soir, dans une ambiance festive et artistique 📀🎉
Basé à Vevey, Nic As Well s’est imposé comme un visionnaire au sein de la scène club. Anciennement connu sous le nom de Lemonick, il a passé des années à perfectionner un son distinctif qui relie Techno, Grime, Breaks, UK Garage ainsi que sound design. Son premier album « Prone » représente l’aboutissement de son parcours artistique : une collection avant-gardiste de morceaux qui redéfinissent les possibilités de la musique de club.
Cet album de 11 titres, qui sortira sous le label @creakedrecords , marque un nouveau chapitre important pour Nic As Well, présentant son travail le plus ambitieux à ce jour. Avec cet album, il invite à entrer dans un univers sonore à la fois innovant, émouvant et profondément lié à l’esprit du dancefloor - une occasion déterminante pour un artiste prêt à laisser une empreinte durable sur la musique électronique.

Under his former moniker, Lemonick, he quickly gained a global reputation within electronic music circles. Having released on esteemed labels like @nervous_horizon , @even.the.strong and @cod3qr , he has further solidified his status as an artist unafraid to challenge conventions while remaining deeply connected to the communal spirit of club culture.
i have a new track out today 🗣️
an old dub called Boss Keys i made after RBMA 2015. strangely enough i was having a hard time making music over there. but when i came back my head was full of ideas. this track was one of the first things i made when i got back and i've always liked it so i'm glad it's finally out. something about it reminded of crash team racing so that's where the name comes from. the original project and files were long gone so big up to @djwheezie for sending me back a .wav he'd asked me for back then so he could cut a dubplate for his sets
it's out on @creakedrecords ' 20 year anniversary compilation. we're doing a party tonight at coupole in bienne to celebrate. see you there!
@creakedrecords asked me to do a one hour mix for their new Creaked Radio mix series, it's out today!
i took the opportunity to play music from people who have been a massive inspiration for me and my music over the years, and especially for my upcoming album with the label. some of them i'm so glad i can call friends. there's also an easter egg track that will be familiar to those of you who spent the early days of covid on their console like i did...
