Recontemporary presenta Tecno–ecologies: posthuman audiovisual explorations with TouchDesigner a cura di @giacomo_baccega e @mag_ma___ Il workshop indaga creatività ibride all’intersezione tra design visivo generativo, interattività e suono, adottando una prospettiva postumana. Il percorso laboratoriale, di carattere teorico-pratico, si articola in un incontro introduttivo, quattro moduli online tematici e una giornata conclusiva in presenza; si terrà in lingua italiana e/o inglese, a seconda della richiesta Il ciclo si apre con una lecture-panel in dialogo con @___radicale___ , artista e designer interdisciplinare. L’appuntamento è dedicato all’esplorazione di pratiche liminari tra ricerca artistica e scientifica, design speculativo e metodologie per immaginare narrazioni del – e insieme al – nonumano. È inoltre volto alla discussione e condivisione tra participantə. Gli incontri online esplorano linguaggi e tecniche in TouchDesigner – software per il design audiovisivo interattivo – e offrono alcuni riferimenti teorici all’intersezione tra discipline artistiche, archeologia dei media, studi sociologici e filosofie postumane. I moduli online sono: 1) Design generativo & data visualisation, 2) Motion tracking e immagini operazionali, 3) Visualizzare il suono e sonificare l’immagine, 4) AI: Narrazioni e biases. Il workshop in presenza, Synesthesia for non humans, è volto all’esplorazione di pratiche e metodologie di immaginazione e narrazione interspecie: verranno integrati e approfonditi microcontrollori, sensori e hardware obsoleto, come Arduino e Kinect. NUOVO GRAND TOUR 2025 | Final presentations For the third edition of the Nuovo Grand Tour at Domaine de Boisbuchet, five talented Italian artists and designers presented the results of their inspiring residency. Nuovo Grand Tour is a residency project for young European talents under the age of 30 that takes place in Italy and France through a network of partner institutions. This large-scale artistic program promotes cultural dialogue and European values of exchange and sharing. *Repost from @2050.plus * • In May, 2050+ presented 'Synthetic Cultures – Ch. 2', a video and research project on lab-grown meat, in the context of “My Body Is A Temple”, a group exhibition at the intersection of arts and critical technology studies curated by @carmen_lael_hines and @claragrillmaier (@neverathome ) at Funkhaus, in Vienna. 'Synthethic Cultures' was originally conceived for the 10th @architecturebiennale_rotterdam . • The site-specific installation unfolds across 3 interconnected environments. Room 1 (a space wrapped in semi-transparent pink latex) and 2 (an immersive soundscape) invite visitors to play with the illusion of having entered the interior of a body. Is it a human womb? A bovine one? Or an “artificial womb,” as bioreactors used in cultured meat production are sometimes called? Room 3 hosts the short film, which analyzes resources, bodies, and spaces from both technocratic and cultural perspectives, revealing their profound interconnections and imagining scenarios in which the implementation of cultured meat has had radical ecological and ethical consequences. 'Nodular Fathoming' dives into such questions by addressing, overlapping, analyzing and displaying multiple perspectives—echoes of a delirious discourse that revolves around the extraction of polymetallic nodules from the seabed, and the consequences these processes bring upon the deeper ecosystem. Achieving Humane Outcomes In Killing (2025) What happens when a bullet or a hook penetrates the flesh of a living organism? Referencing Warburg’s famous work Mnemosyne Bilderatlas, the artwork showcases a collection of images and schemes that portray radiographies of animals killed during human hunting sessions, either at land, at sky or sea. The violence visualized in this glossary serves as a reminder of the “humane” violence we continuously wield over other species.
