A flag is the archetypal spatial gesture that combines architectural clarity with textile sensibility.
Reflecting a hybrid practice that bridges architectural thinking and textile making, the project resonates with the idea of a generous architectural device that can support transformations without strictly prescribing them. In this sense, weaving becomes not only a technique but also a methodology: a way to engage with landscape, time, and communal identity through a layered, attentive construction.
During the last day of the residency at @boisbuchet , the project was presented by placing the flagpole on the castle’s roof balcony and raising the flag on a cloudy, windy day, framed by @andreavalzania

EXHIBITION
For the launch of the website www.szof.it designed with @erastudioberlin , me and @valotibeatrice curated an exhibition and event first in Berlin (January 2025), then in Milan (March 2025).
The exhibition recalls and dialogues with the idea behind the homepage and the visual identity of SZOF: a composition.
A collection of books, images, artworks, prototypes, tools, with the aim of opening the process and ongoing research of SZOF. A visual and material essay for and from a heterogeneous project made by different backgrounds, experiences, influences, techniques, and attitudes.

Last September I build a loom to weave a flag made of textile crops, carefully selected and manipulated within the workshop at @boisbuchet . A flag as a layered narration of the site, becoming an active material archive.

Talk and temporary solo exhibition at @cordearchitetti , Sacile (PN)
The talk L’IMPERFEZIONE (“IMPERFECTION”) explores the value of error as a living space for learning and transformation, with a particular focus on education and workshop practices.
Within this context, I was invited by the festival’s curators to take part in the talk and to set up a temporary solo exhibition showing old and new artworks and prototypes, created through experimentation with different tools and
techniques.

Trama means fabric or plot. At the same time, the question ¿que tramas? refers to the experimentation and originality behind the work by the invited international artists. For this specific show, I showed the artwork “What do you see, look, touch between two sides of a one” and, during the opening, I performed live inside and around the textile piece with an intuitive choreography based of the possibilities given by the holes and layers of the exhibited piece.
GESTURES AROUND TEXTILES
From my first art residencies and exhibitions, through large hand-woven works, I’ve started investigating the role and the possibilities of empty spaces, holes, and fissures created within the fabric. Not only during the hand-weaving process but also afterwards, textiles become performative fields in which to interact with the body, as new living spaces to be inhabited and worn.

PAN is a research and design project - started during the residency at @lottozero - focused on wearable fabrics made by hand-weaving only, playing with the potential of the double weave techniques, without any cut or seam.

TOOLS: Threads

Sutra: literally “thread” or “string” in Sanskrit, referring to works that connect essential teachings, often structured like pearls on a string, dating back to a period between the 8th and 4th centuries BC. Sutras are aphorisms, maxims, or short sentences composing sacred, philosophical, or scientific texts in ancient India (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism).
