The mosaic grid, recalling pixelation, dismantles and recomposes the image, suggesting an aesthetics of mediation. The work becomes a paradox: it circumscribes what is infinite, representing what cannot be possessed. In this tension between artifice and representation, it reflects the contemporary desire to inhabit a suspended reality, where fiction does not deny the real but renders it visible. Trunks and branches follow an artificial, segmented geometry, as if nature had been reformulated through prefabricated codes. The tree becomes an object: a walkable, modular surface, conceived for interiors. Parquet, usually associated with domestic and controlled spaces, is reassembled here to evoke a nature that no longer exists. It is a tree that only resembles a tree: a simulation, a makeshift reconstruction, a citation. In this short circuit between verisimilitude and illusion emerges the longing to rediscover nature through its imitation. The installation, composed of a sound-absorbing plexiglass surface adorned with a collage of vinyl stickers, investigates the complex interplay between humans, nature, and artifice. The silhouettes of raptors—designed to deter real birds from colliding with the transparent panels—create a striking and unsettling image: the fragility of natural life clashes with human artifice, in a play of reflections where humanity seems to confront itself, caught in an endless cycle of creation and destruction. Oggi vi presentiamo uno dei vincitori 🌿 Luca Ferrero, in residenza al Domaine de Boisbuchet, con il progetto “Per Fare Un Albero Ci Vuole Il Legno”. Per Fare Un Albero Ci Vuole Il Legno presenta un albero ricostruito con listelli di parquet, in cui tronco e rami seguono una geometria artificiale e segmentata. Un materiale associato agli interni domestici e controllati viene riassemblato per evocare un’idea di natura riconfigurata, filtrata attraverso codici prefabbricati. L’albero diventa così oggetto e superficie modulare, una presenza che imita la forma naturale dichiarando apertamente il proprio artificio. In questo scarto tra verosimiglianza e costruzione, l’opera riflette sul desiderio contemporaneo di ritrovare la natura attraverso la sua stessa simulazione.
