A digital ecology in continuous transformation. Drawing from the narrative logic of medieval mappae mundi, the installation approaches environment as a system structured by conditions rather than locations. What emerges is not a representation, but a temporary balance between multiple presences acting together. Over time, traces accumulate. A visual memory, composing itself. This journey into impossible environments was made possible through our collaboration with @daydreamlive_ , their open-source cloud infrastructure gave us the freedom to stay fully inside the concept. Grateful to the whole team for carrying this with us, and for the constant support we received. Once again, we met lovely people that just wanted to be part of the process.

As shared not long ago, this April we’ll be part of WE WILL DESIGN 2026 — HELLO DARKNESS at @base_milano during Milano Design Week, presenting An Ecology of Beasts within this collective landscape of projects, practices, and imaginaries. Every year, during Design Week, BASE transforms into a living laboratory of prototypes, visions, and radical practices. Here, what is still in the making finds space and visibility: alongside institutions, emerging designers, schools, and universities from all over the world; new and urgent voices that use design to question the present and attempt to rewrite it in a more equitable, accessible, and conscious way. The 2026 edition of We Will Design, HELLO DARKNESS, opens a space in which design becomes a tool to overturn hierarchies, intertwine ecologies and technologies, and imagine the cities and societies of the future. See you in the Abyss.

A couple of months have passed by and we still can’t believe how special our first gathering felt. A huge thank you goes to Elisabetta and Matilde from TXT Studio for hosting us and making this first moment together possible. Thank you for trusting a newly born project and for opening your space to our ideas, conversations, and experiments. It meant a lot to start this journey surrounded by such generosity and curiosity. We’re super excited to announce that An Ecology of Beasts will be presented at @base_milano during Design Week (20–26 April) as part of HELLO DARKNESS. Entering the shadow zones of the present, the project treats darkness not as a void, but as an active ecological condition. The unseen edges of our systems become spaces for collective creation, where instability is not resolved, but inhabited. Through a shared bestiary and a generative installation, uncertainty becomes generative ground. Multiple imaginaries coexist within a non-hierarchical structure, forming a living ecology shaped by relation rather than control. Huge thanks to @matildelosi , @giulicus and @base_milano for giving us this unique opportunity. See you at BASE!
