Synthetic Cultures - 10th International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam.
@architecturebiennale_rotterdam
2050+ has taken part in the 10th edition of the International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam with a commissioned project entitled Synthetic Cultures, an exhibition that looks at cultured meat - meat that is produced in vitro using tissue engineering techniques - from a multitude of perspectives, dissecting its politics, ethics, spatial-environmental implications, and history, as well as envisioning the foreseeable impacts of its development.
Synthetic Cultures brings together a constellation of objects, documents, found footage and animation that speak to the history, the status quo and the likely effects of a technology that could potentially ignite new ways of living in a not-too-distant future.
Synthetic Cultures is a research project conceived, curated and designed by 2050+ currently on view at
the 10th edition of the Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (22.09.22 - 13.11.22), entitled It's About Time.
