Now that the smoke has cleared a bit, we wanted to thank New York for an amazing weekend of shows earlier this month! @nublunyc was packed and a great vibe, thanks @worldmusicinstitute @djnenim @lollise and everyone who came out and danced. The next night we took it to @barbesbrooklyn with @nyctrust for another sweaty banger. Stay tuned, we’ll be back shortly, and in the meantime we’ll be posting more videos from Nublu.

✨️Sunday, August 10th✨️ @cccadi AFRIBEMBE festival as part of @harlemweek @lollise and @yohniloboko share the stage once again! For the first time uptown! Botswana 🇧🇼meets Congo🇨🇩 when Loboko and Lollise join together. Lollise is a fashion designer, visual artist and musician from Francistown, Botswana, based in Queens, New York. Loboko is a Brooklyn-based Congolese dance band led by @yohniloboko a virtuosic guitarist and vocalist from Kinshasa, Congo. Both projects share producer and drummer @modrums.music After a number of successful studio collaborations, including Lollise's "eDube" which features Yohni on guitar and bass, the groups combined in May '25 for a tour with highlights including Brooklyn Academy of Music @bam_brooklyn and the Marigold Theater @marigoldtheater @secretplanetnoho in Easthampton, MA.
