50 years ago, a vision was born in a Bronx home. Today, CCCADI stands as one of the longest-running Black-led cultural institutions in the country — a living bridge across the African diaspora. We’re launching our 50 for 50 Fund — and we need our community to carry it with us. $50 for 50 years of justice, joy, and resistance. 💛 Donate. Attend. Volunteer. Comment “50” and we’ll send you the link directly. 🔗 Link in bio → cccadi.org/donate50 #CCCADI50 #50for50 #AfriDiaspora #EastHarlem #AfriCarnaval BlackCulturalInstitutions CaribbeanDiaspora CarryTheLegacy

🚨 POSTPONED: UPDATE BELOW🚨 Community, CCCADI has made the intentional decision to postpone ÀJỌṢE: A Diaspora Symposium on Collective Healing & Freedom as we continue to navigate an active 50th anniversary season. In honoring the collectivity & sustainability at the heart of ÀJỌṢE itself, we believe this gathering deserves more time to fully come into form. We remain committed to bringing ÀJỌṢE to life soon, and we thank our facilitators, vendors, partners, and community for their continued belief in this offering. We look forward to sharing new details with our community soon.

We sounded a carnival call when we announced the opening of “Jab, J’ouvert, Revelry & Resistance”, and last night, the community responded. What a night! Endless gratitude to our beloved partners @knowyourcaribbean , curators of this living offering, for shaping an exhibition so aligned with our values, at such an important moment & crossroads in CCCADI’s history: our 50th Anniversary Year. Carnival has always been about sacred resistance for us. This exhibition reminds us that there is profound joy in that resistance. Big thanks to AKC @andreakcastillo for keeping us moving with the tunes, to El Dorado and Diamond Reserve for providing drinks for the celebration, and to @sisterscuisineharlem for the delicious bites!! If you missed last night’s gathering, know that “Jab, J’ouvert, Revelry & Resistance” will be on view until November 21st. Public gallery hours begin next Tuesday, May 5th: 🗓️ Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 🕰️ 3PM - 9PM 📍CCCADI Firehouse (120 E 125th St.) Stay tuned for special ticketed events throughout the run of the exhibition!

Carnival has always been ours. This is CCCADI at Lincoln Center in 1984 — full Carnival energy, Trinidad and Tobago in the building. We’ve been holding this tradition for 50 years. Now we want your Carnival in the room too. Last few days to submit your photo for the 50th Anniversary Exhibition curated by Know Your Caribbean. Don’t miss it. Comment “WE READY” to receive the submission form, or follow the link in bio. This exhibition is community-built — and the 50 for 50 Fund is how we make sure CCCADI can keep doing this for the next 50 years. Give $50 at the link in bio. #CCCADI50 #50thAnniversaryExhibition #KnowYourCaribbean #AfriCarnaval #50for50
