@wolfchirp and i have been working on her book Trickster at the End of a World for the last few years and we’re so excited that it’s almost finally here! Helen Shewolfe Tseng’s Trickster at the End of a World follows the author into the tall grasses of uncertainty and the spaces between realms. Guided by an obsession with coyotes and in search of things lost, Tseng positions the highly adaptive wild canid and its oft-mythologized archetype of the Trickster as a mirror, foil, and portal. very excited to have new work in ENSEMBLE PARK #2, a journal of experimental human+computer writing, edited by kyle booten and @katyilonka 𝑊𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝐶𝑦𝑐𝑙𝑒 is composed of the residues of a series of recursive and somewhat antagonistic entanglements with technological entities. Guided by the ghosts of Ursula Franklin and Ursula K. issue 5 of the html review has arrived 𓊍 it is an extremely beautiful collection, and i am honored to have a piece in this one 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟 𝓂𝒾𝓁𝓀𝒻𝒾𝓈𝒽 is a browser poem and love letter to one particularly bony fish, and an ode to persistence, hard-won pleasures, things that take time, and all that we choose to do despite significant frictions. the text of the poem is revealed through meticulous mouseover excavation and the plucking of numerous bones, much like the process of eating milkfish. so much gratitude to editors @_maxnc_ + @shheeelllbby for shepherding this work! 𓊎 https://thehtml.review (best viewed on a desktop)

for the third year in a row, i have a piece in bad quarto’s annual booklet of short text-generating programs, all written without ai assistance, alongside a first-class roster of computational poets. this year’s is titled GLOBAL LETTER, after the affordable usps stamp that allows this booklet at its current dimensions to be mailed almost anywhere in the world. i wrote another @nathanfielder -inspired program, which a FLY landed on while i was documenting – a descendant of buzz?? each one of my contributions has riffed on the previous one: Fieldnotes → Fieldernotes → Fieldernotes II: The Rehearsal

my mom has become a prolific oil painter in the past few years. this is a painting we collaborated on earlier this year, inspired by a coyote photo of mine, now living in my apartment amidst the pothos tangles 🌱

𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒓𝒐/𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒎𝒐/𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄 🫧🕯️💿 an eight-channel screen sculpture and interactive altar installation for ./ʟᴏᴄᴀʟ_ᴍᴇᴍᴏʀʏ: ꜱᴏꜰᴛ ꜱʏꜱᴛᴇᴍꜱ, a group exhibition on ritual, memory + the digital self, april 17–19, 2026 @grayareaorg The eight computational poems featured in 𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒓𝒐/𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒎𝒐/𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄 were hand-coded by Helen Shewolfe Tseng, each one within 2048 bytes of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, originally for publication by Taper, a browser-based literary journal for tiny computational pieces. The works draw from the ba gua, the phases of the moon, shapeshifting nine-tailed foxes, star charts, wheels of fortune, incense offerings, mourning rituals, wind phones, the minor arcana, zodiacal calendars, lyric games, instructional performances, naturalist field observations, ambient soundscapes, mythical bestiaries, and the archetype of the trickster, engaging computational logic to express durational, divinatory, and devotional experience. owl neighbors shrouded in eucalyptus 🍃 lately, the owlets have been practicing their wings, hop-flapping from branch to branch, bobbing their heads with what might be pride. in a few of the fuzzier shots, the eagle-eyed might spot a parent looming out of focus, keeping a watchful eye on the two little ones
