A week after the release of his brand-new album, Feeling Is Structure, we’re excited to welcome @maxcoopermax as a guest on our website.
The Belfast-based multi-disciplinary artist, label founder, and former scientist has carved a reputation for being one of the most intellectually rigorous artists in the field of electronic music. Across 11 studio albums, Max has built a body of work that sits at this genuinely rare intersection of science, philosophy, and emotion. And it’s not only his music that implores you to question everything, but his live shows too. They’re more like immersive audio-visual experiences, the kind that make you wonder if you’ve accidentally wandered into a contemporary art installation.
During our chat, we explored themes ranging from the definition of “success” in music, AI technology, and, of course, anything related to the new album.

Toshiki Soejima's new album Komorebi is around the corner and for the last upfront single, he's joined by an artist we've admired for years - US composer/pianist Mad Keys. The duo crafted a jazz fusion of the dreamiest keys, warm guitars, and live drums.

We have our first indie/psychedelic release on the label, thanks to German producer/multi-instrumentalist Donkeychote.
We’ve always loved and covered on the website that desert psychedelia sound championed by bands like Khruangbin, Dengue Fever, Yuuf, Yin Yin, and BALTHVS (to name a few). That tasteful blend of global groove with neo-psychedelic influences from all around the world, which sits between groove and chill. Extremely happy to his this sound on our label and excited about Florian’s upcoming album, Antidote, which will drop later this summer.
Today we celebrate the first single, “Soulmate” and it feels like a trip.
Last week was the first Friday we took a break from the NMF videos in forever. It does feel refreshing to be back, though!
