Threads release day!!! 🧵🧵🧵 So happy to share our new LP Threads, made with my brothers @baalti.mp3 Two years ago, I met with Jaiveer and Mihir in the California desert for an impromptu writing session. It was my first experience collaborating with other musicians in person. We connected easily and quickly entered a flow state from which Threads emerged. This record is especially meaningful to us. We hope u can hear the collective discovery // trust // joy // connection // presence that we felt while making it. Three different covers and vinyls made by @bhattchin (OG cover), @prakarti_a , and @bg_____________________ & @dakuface & big shout out to @avneesh.mu for handling the design and layout the OG cover is a black vinyl edition of 250, Prakarti’s mughal miniature interpretation of the original cover is an edition of 100 on marbled green vinyl, and BG & Daku’s collaborative cover is an edition of 100 on smoked orange vinyl All the editions include a double sided art piece made by Daku & BG Thank you all for the support over the years! @eeee__mu really love how they all came out. they’re live now on lapgan.bandcamp.com but i can also take orders by dm re international shipping, working on getting a big batch to india in may for cheaper shipping. for the rest of the world, i checked a few countries at the post office today and shipping rates were very high. Baalti & Lapgan - Jab Se 🌸 the final single from Threads is out now. it’s called Jab Se, it’s the last song on the album, and the last one we made while in Joshua Tree with @lapganlapgan this song came about almost by chance, one of those serendipitous moments that happen in the studio. we were ready to call the album a wrap and went out to celebrate, but all through the drive there and back gaurav kept insisting that there was something in this vocal loop that had potential to be a song. we got back home and gave it a shot, and the song basically wrote itself in 30 minutes. and it’s perhaps our favorite track on the record. grateful to be able to share it with everyone finally thank you for listening to the singles so far. the full album is just around the corner now, dropping on April 3rd. full tracklist and pre-saves for Threads are up on streaming and bandcamp. also shouts to @m0henjodaro for the artwork and @kevinrathod for the video much love to everyone - j m & g
