🎊✨Introducing the Grand Launch for the Trans Thrive Project for TDoV!! ✨🎊 The Trans Thrive Project is our way of monitoring hate crimes across Asia Pacific. We aim to gather data on transphobic experiences and utilize it for our fight against transphobia and transphobic violence in all its forms. ✊🏳️‍⚧️ We're introducing the Trans Thrive website to increase accessibility to the survey, and everything you'd need to know about the project! We encourage you to #TellYourStory on our survey if you're comfortable with it! Silence perpetuates violence, and it is up to you to help stop transphobia once and for all. 🏳️‍⚧️ UN Trans Advocacy Week is back! Most trans people wish to go through life living openly and freely, as their true selves. Yet, that is not a reality for the majority. This is why we need TAW: to put trans and gender diverse activists right at the heart of democracy! Delegates will have the chance to speak directly to diplomats, UN experts, and civil society at the @unitednations , raising their community’s voices. This time, we will bring participants from Albania, Armenia, Belarus/Poland, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco, Nigeria, Panama, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, to the 62nd UN @humanrightscouncil . If you have never heard about UN Trans Advocacy Week, read our article to understand what it is and why it is so important for trans and gender diverse communities to take their voices to such a high level. 🔗 Link in bio Stay tuned as we will be sharing previous participants' experiences soon. #UNTransAdvocacy is a collaboration between GATE, @weareaptn , @eastafricatrans , @ilgaworld , @rfsl_official and @tgeuorg

In 2026, anti-gender attacks continue to be on a steady rise throughout Asia-Pacific. From the 2026 amendments to the Indian Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act 2019 and government sanctioned conversion practices to anti-trans vigilantes enacting transphobic violence, anti-trans rhetoric has been heavily utilized as wedge issues by authorities and political powers to garner power. We cannot fight this fight alone, and luckily, we don't have to! #IDAHOBIT2026 is dedicated to our partners and ally organisations across Asia-Pacific, who lead the charge on gender justice, equal rights, and the liberation of trans and gender diverse people. @bds.samabhabona @tapish_foundation @venasa_vtn @unity_4_change @revivaldisabilityindia @changingseeds @bdsnepal_ @seedmalaysia @transequalth @tongaleitisassociation @pacificsgdnetwork #TransRightsForAll #GenderLibration #AsiaPacific #May17th

@atitayanook , our fellow from Thailand talked a bit about his project that focuses on documentations of discrimination and hate crimes happening amongst trans masculine and non-binary people in Thailand. Bullying and discrimination from family and institutions such as work and school are still far too common, but documentations are still lacking, which makes it hard to track and mobilize against. He hopes that with this project, he can encourage more transmasculine to be fearless and be themselves. #AmplifyChangeFellowship2025 #DocumentingTransphobia #TransRightsAreHumanRights

Namkeen shared how her project entitled “Trans Lives Matter”, which is a storytelling hub where trans people showcased their talents in music, art, and theatre performances. The project involved inviting representatives from governmental bodies such as the social welfare department to understand the lived realities of trans people, while also talking about potential policy shifts that could make lives better for trans people. Namkeen also talks about how attending the fellowship emboldened her and her community to fight and advocate for their own rights, moving Pakistan further towards a trans accepting country. #AmplifyChangeFellowship2025 #TransLivedRealities #TransRightsAreHumanRights
