We planned it for the end of May because what better way to kick off a summer of incredible events by starting with an incredible event?! Jen @veganqueenv Jo @jokalaway Stella and Steve of @mamaearthrestaurant are so excited to welcome you, host you, look after you and spend time with you in one of the most stunning locations in the country. This event is fully catered (homemade organic vegan wholefoods and foraged foods) with indoor rooms available (and camping if that’s your vibe!) and safari tents if you fancy something in between. The second single release from my second album, I’m delighted to introduce my brand new single ‘LEADER.’ I hope you love it and feel empowered by the message. We rely far too heavily on outside influences to guide us, control us, tell us what to do. Putting our lives and wellbeing in to the hands of others, many of which haven’t got a clue, and certainly haven’t got our best interests at heart, even if they claim they do. It’s time to stand up and be the LEADER of our own lives baby! Throughout 2023 I fundraised for my friend @karrie_pavish_anderson who suffered a freak brain injury accident in 2018. Since then she’s had countless therapies and medical bills to pay for all whilst being unable to work, and she recently got denied disability benefit too. So I am raising money for her again to help ease the financial burden so she can concentrate on getting better. In this video I shave my head for Karrie. Being a leader is also about pushing your own boundaries and limits, and challenging previously held beliefs. We are soup-er keen to show our retreat guests the absolute crème de la crème of good nutritious delicious food, so of course that involves foraging some exquisite fresh plants! Jen and Neil had a campout in the woods and gave this insanely good recipe a try from @fieldstudy_ and @mamaearthrestaurant are going to be whipping up this delight and more at our fabulous Pembrokeshire retreat coming up in a few weeks!! Part of the schedule involves a gorgeous walk through ancient woodland and we’ll be picking nettles and other plants as part of our magical foraged dinner! Learn what to pick, which part of the plant, and how you avoid getting stung! (Although that’s arguably part of the fun 😂) What’s more - we have a few spots left! Edinburgh what a treat you’ve been! I didnay know it was @edintradfest this weekend I just saw one of my fave bands @ruraband were playing and they were totally epic.. and I fully embraced the festival and threw myself out of my comfort zone and in to the world of trad fiddle playing! Thank you @loriwatsonmusic for such a gorgeous workshop this morning - I thought I was going to be totally out of my depth but actually I did super well! I also visited the special @rosslynchapel and me and the dogs had a lovely wander through the stunning woodlands surrounding the chapel. I’m slowly making my way back down south to England after what has been an incredible and massively transformative time - 3 weeks fasting - what a journey.
