Nene H - Second Skin LP - UMAY011
Out today - link is up for reviews/listen/read/support
umay.bandcamp.com
Second Skin is Nene H’s declaration of liberated identity. Across nine tracks, Nene traces the metamorphosis from conformity to authenticity that unfolds after a breakup. They trace a step-by-step transformation: the shedding of imposed narratives and the layering of a new, liberated self.
The result is a sonic diary of emancipation, where musical ideas move through noise, South West Asian modalities, trap, future bass, house, trance, minimal and deconstructed club music fusing and mutating freely.

Catching Up With @nene.habiba , the Turkish-born, Berlin-based producer whose journey from classical piano conservatory to techno's uncompromising frontlines mirrors a complete reinvention of identity through sound.
Born Beste Aydin, their work spans fearsome full-throttle DJ sets, experimental modular explorations, and collaborations with Georgian choirs, all while running the @umay_works label championing underrepresented artists.
We explore the unexpected inspirations that shaped her path, discuss her deep connection to Turkish folk music, debate which sounds in electronic music she'd permanently banish if given the chance, and get her essential picks for the exciting talent demanding attention right now, @willjooe , @soulsuleiman and @meliskoke .
🧿🫶🏽 Revealing Nene H - “Cradle” 🫶🏽 🧿
Single from the forthcoming album Second Skin. UMAY011
“Cradle” is Second Skin’s lullaby of rebirth. Future-bass low end and warped, deconstructed club drums rock back and forth beneath a tangle of processed vocals, half-comforting, half-unsettling. It feels like mothering yourself in the dark: sculpting tenderness out of dissonance while the old body shakes off and a new one, braver, learns to stand. Paired with “Deliverance”, it pushes the album furthest into deconstruction, rhythms and glitches carrying queer chaos into a fragile calm.

“Promises, Promises” as part of Second Skin, Nene H’s upcoming album on closure and liberation, cracks intimacy wide open. A grime-kissed trap beats and bassline collides with trancy synths and South-West Asian vocal hooks chanting, a vow to never shrink again. As part of Second Skin’s sonic diary of emancipation, it turns doubt into swagger and softness into armour. album out on 27.03.2026

Mecha Tools EP by legends @yazzus___ & @jensen_interceptor_
on @umay_works is out today on all platforms!
1. I’m Going To Miami
2. OMG Unit
3. ACT Right
4. Killua 99
Two titans of texture & energy, Yazzus and Jensen Interceptor, collide to bring us their emphatic & berserk ‚Mecha Tools‘ EP. Four bass tech rhythm heavy eva’s designed for the sole purpose of lifeform transcendence. Both Berlin based, they start things off by taking us on a trip to the magic city with their multi formed genre melting machine ‚I’m Going To Miami‘ which sets the tone for the tools ahead. Echos of tribal, bass & techno are all layered throughout, fused to perfection, showcasing the pair’s peak production prowess. Then the alarm is sounded with a jacking vocal chop on ‚OMG Unit‘, which is met by an avalanche of thunderous drums and futurist patterns, constantly pushed along with quick experimental cuts, and a barrage of blanketing groove, ‚OMG Unit‘ is a perc workout like no other. The quaking continues with ‚ACT Right‘ which sees the duo fully launch their shared love for all things bass and scrapyard percussion. Finally, we get a slight cooling off with ‚Killua 99‘ to bring us back down to earth, but make no mistake, K99 still strikes & jacks with an endless snare groove that parades over droning bass, along with some psych & rap vocal pairing creating perfect nerv synchronization.
