CONNECT was a night of conversations and community building in Muloobinba/Newcastle, presented by @emcaustralia , @cirrusaudio and @ausindies . The evening opened up conversations around advocacy, funding pathways, artist-label relationships and what it takes to build labels and foster communities, from self-built, independent labels @international_chrome_ and @elefanttraks . CONNECT also launched a suite of video resources developed by @emcaustralia for @ausindies , designed to equip independent artists and labels with practical knowledge and tools to grow their business. Expressions of interest are now open for CREATE, a two-day workshop series for electronic music artists in Muloobinba/Newcastle, presented by EMC and @cirrusaudio . Across 4 sessions at @50clydest on Saturday 2 + Sunday 3 May, artists will receive guidance from music specialists through the stages of making and releasing music. Open to electronic music artists in the Greater Newcastle area, participation is via an expression of interest and selection process. Six artists will be selected to participate.
