When I first discovered All Day I Dream, I barely had any music out and I was really still figuring out my direction.
But, I was in such awe of that sound and the artists associated with the label, that my vision became clear and I was obsessed.
I’m incredibly grateful for the connections that have come from this healthy obsession, the community, the artists who have helped me level up and to @djleeburridge for that first DM several years ago.
Oh and a #1 for my debut release on ADID certainly doesn’t hurt either 😉🥇.

The journey of Sojourney 🐉
I first wrote the title track of this EP back in 2023. It was one of those tracks I just knew had legs. I was genuinely stoked with just how well the groove came together and It was signed within a day of sending it to the label head.
Then came track number two ‘Agida’ which was the most challenging track I’ve ever written in my life. Albeit a relatively simple track, it took 4-5weeks of painful iteration to get there. But completed the EP just perfectly.
Then due to unforeseen circumstances and reasons I’ve still never understood, the EP sat in limbo for the next 2 years unreleased to the point where I had to make a judgement call. Keep getting ghosted, or just move on.
So I sent the EP off to a few more labels, all of which wanted to sign it. But @themelodyofthesoul were different in their approach. They went the extra mile and made sure this EP was released the right way.
It’s been for sure my most successful work to date with more support than I could have ever imagined and was my first #1 single on Beatport.
To finally have this on vinyl and see the awesome success of this little EP made up for all the f*ckery and mental turmoil it took to get it out into the world.
I’m so grateful this music has meant so much to everyone. It’s why I do it! ❤️

I threw this Edit together right before I headed off to New Zealand to play a show. It went down a treat! When I posted a clip it got the attention of @timgreen_music who loved it and also gave me a nudge to squeeze a little more juice out of it 🍊.
So, I did and thus the ‘Phill Callings (mredrollo Edit)’ was born ✨
I used to DJ the original way back when I was playing more down tempo stuff. It’s such a great track and couldn’t resist putting an upbeat dancefloor spin on it.

This was Day 1 working on my remix of @rawmain_music ’s Skydome. Everything flowed effortlessly.
To be honest it takes a lot to get me inspired when it comes to remixing, but Skydome had me from the start. The main lead was so catchy, yet simple which allowed me to bend it a bit further. Some fresh chords and a funky bassline and there you have it.
Glad I captured this little snippet when it all came together. Fun fact, the bassline actually changed a few minutes before sending the final version off. I added an extra note which completely changed the progression. Can you tell which note? 🧐
