@eastern.distributor is the project of Naarm-based artist Daniel Jakobsson. Born in Warrang/Sydney and of Indigenous Peruvian and Swedish heritage, his work centres on reimagining space-both culturally and sonically-moving fluidly across genre and place.
Positioned within Australia’s rising wave of psychedelic, percussive, and soundscape-driven techno and drum & bass, Eastern Distributor crafts immersive worlds through sound.
His Jörmungandr alias pushes further into IDM, psytek, and tekno, exploring the unseen architecture between frequencies.
In 2024, European shows including Berghain and Garage Noord introduced international audiences to his expansive, nomadic sound, with releases on Amniote Editions, Ute.rec, Mala Junta, and Pure Space marking a trajectory that feels both untethered and evolving.

ZIRZÅMIN and C&C are raising funds for a grassroots, community-led network in Iran providing urgent medical care to those injured in recent state violence.
This anonymous group supports essential needs — surgeries, medication, and first aid for civilians and protesters. For their safety, their identity remains protected.
We’re grateful to the Magandjin community for standing with us, and to the artists and collaborators offering their time, care, and energy to shape this with intention.

The Warrang/Sydney born producer is, throughout his work, most at home in the disused, repurposed and deeply reimagined spaces across ‘so-called-Australia’.

in an emerging musical career ready to bloom

A year of reflection, exploration, and stepping back from music has brought me closer to creating music that feels more authentic. Excited for the coming year :)

so grateful to have performed in the crater for @ballista___ last weekend. had sooo much fun playing the 4:30am sunrise slot, went in completely open minded to what I would play and decided to set on some minimal, techy bass music moving into dnb for first light.
massive thank you to the @ballista___ team for the incredible weekend/production and care and for everyone booking me for festivals/doofs this year. I really wanted to start playing more outdoor settings, where I could play a bit looser and experiment with progression. to have been given that trust is super fulfilling. this was my last gig of 2024, such an incredible way to finish up.

what an incredible experience @realm.riparia was. the entire weekend was so seamless despite dealing with the weather and other fires to put out. huge appreciation for @shed.dance for the massive effort as well the community/friends around this beautiful collective, it was so nice to reconnect.
I parted ways with Shed: after the last realm riparia and this was the first event back since, on the artist side. I'm so thankful for the trust and opportunity to perform under @ekosystem.label with @yung_limes , looking forward to doing it again in the future :)

Almost a week since I had the pleasure of closing the Earth stage early Monday morning after almost 40 hours of continuous music.
It was such an incredible experience to say the least, the amount of work that goes into planning something so special must have been an enormous effort by a dedicated team.
To have the privilege and trust of the team and dancers to bring the journey to its climax and end is something I'm so grateful for.
This was easily a career highlight for me on top of an already monumental year. Thankyou everyone for coming with open minds, all the amazing feedback I've received and @volkiene__vorpal & @dragon_dreaming_festival for having me on ♥️
