Very happy to share a live DJ set recording that means a lot to me. Last summer I played at
@parnassus_music @fitzroyclub , taking over the decks after legend Jerome Hill. Played a simmering mix that leans into groovy leftfield techno, breaks, and house with percussive elements and deep, transportive atmosphere 🌀🦋 link is up on SC.
A bit about the process: Parnassus is an event with no stylistic constraints. They gave me complete trust to play “timeless gems”, which allowed me to break free from sticking to one lane, and to tap fully into the moment. As someone who plays a multitude of genres, this freedom felt very special. I had many ideas while prepping, but no defined direction until I pressed play. I stayed the whole night from start to finish,,feeling out the flow, reading the energy on the dancefloor, and letting intuition guide me. What unfolded feels magical ✨
It was a real treat to play in one of my favorite clubs, surrounded by good friends, as the sun began to rise — and to share some records that have shaped me over the years, plus some recent standout releases ft:
