Playing a UK techno party in Berlin and then a minimal party in London is about as far as my DJing goals extended so very grateful for the opportunity. If you are in either city and capable of staying up late, I’d love to see some friendly faces!

Getting these songs together for Katia to release has been a pretty central part of my life for the last 6 months so it’s really nice to have them out and see them being played. The music feels like a pretty good reflection of my life at the moment - syncopated and sludgy - read into that what you will. If you have a moment to listen or even a few quid to support, I’m always grateful!
And thank you @katiusha_lives for bringing them to a wider audience. I’m always excited to contribute to labels, especially when it’s a good friend doing something cool
Berlin-based @keplrr has spent a decade crafting a signature sound that fuses ceremonial techno with driving house and minimal influences. Having made his start in Peckham’s underground scene, the UK artist quickly progressed from DJing at venues like Venue MOT, The Rising Sun, and Rye Wax, to playing key London clubs like FOLD, Corsica Studios, and The Cause.
His tracks, which have found homes on tastemaker labels like Midgar, Control Freak and Pressure Dome, create deep, immersive soundscapes that challenge the conventional boundaries of techno. Running through them is the core idea of ‘falling and out of a trip’, and considering that feeling from different angles. The end result is something between meditation and momentum; tension and warmth, all rendered with captivating subtlety and attention to detail. Meanwhile, his DJ sets offer sleek, hi-energy sounds paired with experimental rhythms, weightless blends, and rushes of melodic release.

Isaac has played a key part in the label’s journey so far. I already rated his music before we became good friends last summer, and had his style on the brain when I considered the sound of GRACE. If he hadn’t casually said, “I’d release something on your label!” a year ago, I might not have made it this far. Since then we’ve sunk many hours into playing, sharing, and chattin breeze about music together. So I’m really happy to share these wicked tracks of his - two long, rolling atmospheric numbers that clearly go out to 𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓹𝓮𝓻𝓼 𝓲𝓷 𝓴𝓵𝓮𝓻𝓫, plus anyone else who loves a blurry vocal or acid line 🦠

Had the pleasure of recording a mix for @untitled909 to celebrate 10 years of @_midgar_ . It’s a joy to represent a label that has become such an institution in Berlin. Much like the label, this mix dips and dives between genres, with a warm rolling through line. As with all of my output, there are moments of euphoria, dissonance and dissociation scattered throughout.
I road tested the mix on a sunny cycle through Brandenburg a few weeks ago - I’d recommend a similar listening environment.

Welcome to the Midgar Records takeover. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Berlin-based label will be taking over the 909 mix series for the duration of September with a mix running each week from a label affiliate with a full lowdown on the label to accompany the final edition.
Next up is Berlin-via-London DJ and producer Keplrr who released on Midgar Records recently with the glorious 'Plumes' EP featuring a remix from Priori. He's also previously released on Control Freak Recordings and Pressure Dome where he has become known for more forward-thinking broken techno music. In his contribution to the series, Keplrr digs into wriggly, groove-filled soundscapes, creating a perfect early morning or afters soundtrack as it glows throughout. A mixture of head down moments and trippy euphoria.
This has been out for a week! I’ve been touched by the reaction and I’m very thankful that people are listening and enjoying it. If you haven’t already you can buy the record on bandcamp or at your fav record store. I started writing this record a couple of years ago in London and finished it last summer, after I moved to Berlin. Listening now, it feels like a very transitional record, both in sound and in the life that surrounded it. I wrote what I generally like playing, and the result is the most “me” record I’ve ever written.
I want to say a huge thank you to Jacopo (@sever.ja ) for trusting me with the music and designing such a beautiful cover. Also to @scapemastering and @afg_record_manufacturing for creating a record that is both chunky and soft.

This EP embodies that quest, each track a sonic voyage into the depths of consciousness.
