It was made between Canada & the UK, through a pandemic, through many personal & career changes, with many INCREDIBLE people - from the creation of the music to the visuals to the meticulous planning behind the scenes. Where do I ever begin? Last Friday, I hosted another 𝘜𝘯𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘏𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵. We laughed, we cried, we sang Hilary Duff at the top of our lungs. Thank you @gracemarrmusic , @ameliamaxwellgirlandband , @swtbbt , @the_lydster , and @christinebougie for sharing your hearts and music with us. My jaw was on the floor the entire night. You’re all so talented and such an inspiration to me and the community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support local queer Toronto artists. These nights wouldn’t be possible without you. The 2025 PTP Pink Awards features a spectacular evening of 2SLGBTQIA+ celebration! The night includes musical performances by one of Canada's premier male choral ensembles Forte Gay Men’s Chorus (@fortechorus ), singer-songwriter and CTV’s The Launch winner T. Heading into another year around the ☀️ in a very new place than I’ve ever been before. I’ve continued to be quiet on here as I figure out how to engage online in a way that doesn’t feel like it does me more harm than good. That’s still a work in progress 🤪 Have been quiet in my music career as I figure out a way to engage with the industry in a way that doesn’t feel like it does me more harm than good. Also still a work in progress. If I’m gonna be real, just typing that sentence makes me well up. But slowly, I’m inching my way towards things that are beginning to revive my desire to feel deeply, to believe in magic, to make something out of where those two things touch. I can feel my ego shift in ways that are unfamiliar and a little scary, but ultimately much healthier for me. My relationship with ambition is changing. My knee jerk reaction to compare myself is getting quieter and quieter (though not gone, probably never gone). In its place there is a void where the old pattern used to play out. So far I’ve related to it with a certain amount of anxiety or self judgement as burn out, numbness. But recently I’ve begun to experience it as a space for something new to come into. Slowly, it has revealed itself as a kind of incubator, an emotional womb, where new ways of relating to creation and music and peers can unfold. It is extremely slow. It is easy to forget that nature doesn’t move at the same pace as capitalism. It is humbling and it is awe inspiring, how the body brings us where we need to go on its own time. I’m grateful to have lived so many versions of myself at 31. What an immense privilege. More than ever that is not lost on me. If you read this far, thanks for being interested in my lil update. I hope you give yourself a hug today, find a mutual aid fund in Palestine or for a trans person in the US and donate a little if you can, take a deep breath, look at a flower. Listen very deeply to someone tell you something about their day without interjecting or thinking about what you will say next (thanks @kikosounds ). ⭐ CURATED: PRIDE ON TAP ⭐ . . We are pleased to announce Curated: Pride On Tap, a continuing celebration of pride and summer socializing, taking place at 7pm Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the @garrisonbrewing Seaport (1149 Marginal Rd, Halifax, NS B3H 4P7). . Curated in partnership with @swtbbt , doors open at 7pm, and will feature a meetup and mixer for the Nova Scotia music community with a cash bar and light snacks generously provided by Amber Zaza, a black, queer and trans community member and cook. Amber (they/she) owns a small pop-up bakery named @mostlybutterbakes , you can find them popping up at local markets around the city. They also work as the Kitchen Coordinator for @lavender_kitchen_program , a new food program providing free meals and community space for 2SLGBTIA+ folks. . Musical performances begin at 8:00pm by three-piece indie band @hoboaquarium , one of the first acts to receive funding from Music Nova Scotia’s DAWN Fund Bursary Program, a designated investment program for artists who identify as trans, two-spirit, or non-binary. Local melodic indie-rock legends @pillow.fite will follow, and drag performer @anitalandback , who is on an exciting new foray into the DJ world, will end the night. . Smooth brain summer underway in a big way 🧠 Giving myself the space to release the need to appear IN MOTION and BUILDING so much. It has been the best mental gift I’ve given myself in years. But here are some nice moments that have happened which I am so grateful for 💗 1. Turned 10 years on T with many of my fave people around and @katieclarkest snapped this pic 🥰 2. Brought a dream to life with @erinmcarroll29 & @warnermusiccanada that had been brewing since 2019 3. Elliott went on an adventure to @7_acre thanks to @estherthefoodie 🥹 4. Stewing on the reality of the music industry these days and slowly moving from burn out & apathy, to envisioning how I can divorce myself from this app, Spotify (who’s founder is investing in gen0c!de, fuck that, FREE 🇵🇸), and hopefully all the other corporations that are rotting arts, culture, and human rights from the inside out 😤 5. @coldplay w @beau_the_producer (they sadly did not capture any of our clandestine moments) 😘 6. Making Erin cry in public 🥲 7. Slingin CLIFs 🫡

On July 7, the Pride at @warnermusiccanada ERG, hosted a one-day songwriting camp for 12 trans and non-binary creatives, developed in collaboration with artist @swtbbt . @atlanticrecords recording artist @hicorook , best known for viral hits “THEY!” and “If I Were a Fish,” joined the camp as an artist mentor and provided feedback on the songs throughout the day. The T4T Songcamp, with support from @socanmusic , aimed to remove barriers that exist between developing and established artists/writers/producers, and place trans folks in a creative setting where their identities don’t need to be hidden. The camp finished with the afterparty that had tasty treats from @craigscookies , drinks provided by @millstreetbrew and community partner @getrealmovement on-site to share more information about the work and education they do for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 🏳️‍⚧️
