We’re married!!!!
If you would have told teenage shan - deep in the closet and dealing with all that trauma - that one day I would be free to live my life, to marry a WOMAN, and that I would be surrounded by people cheering us on, I wouldn’t have believed it.
We decided to head to upstate New York for an intimate weekend on an apple orchard. Since all our favourite people are spread across the US and Canada, we wanted a few days together so everyone could hang out and actually get to know each other before the big day, and that’s exactly what happened! Watching people from different parts of our lives laughing, sharing stories, and becoming friends was honestly one of my favourite parts of the whole thing. (Besides marrying the love of my life, obvs)
Our wedding day was filled with so much joy and SO many tears. I already knew how important chosen family and community is and this weekend really brought that to life. Morgan’s dad Mike walked us down the aisle together! Thank you to everyone who made the day possible! To all of our friends willing to put in the work, and the travel to help it all come together. And it didn’t rain!!
