Yea, it's a thing ✂️🙃✂️ finished my 5th Artist Trading Card that I am sending my nephew that plays trumpet and likes to fish--it's super late because I am a terrible uncle but I think he'll forgive me because he's a very cool kid. That said, to the four people I received ATCs from through the very talented @cutandplaced prompt MONTHS ago, I am putting these in the mail. Except for you @stitchpixie because I gave it to you in person 😂 If you've ever been into cutting and pasting, I highly encourage you to see if you have a collage collective near you or start one because they are a great place to make fun and interesting friends. When @northwestcollagesociety reached out to me about illustrating a poem written by a cancer patient to raise money for @cancerlifeline —zero hesitation. Many close to me right now are battling cancer or have lost their battle to cancer—including my mom. One of the many joys in being an artist is using your art for important causes. *Cancer Lifeline is a Seattle-based non-profit providing free emotional support, resources, and education for people affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, caregivers, and families. Services include support groups, exercise classes, nutrition guidance, and financial assistance navigation, aiming to address the emotional and practical challenges beyond medical treatment. Founded in 1973, it offers programs to help manage stress, anxiety, and isolation through various classes and support systems. Collage Club Workshops: 4 artists in one session! Collage Club @thecollageclub is a wonderful group of artists from around the world that worked from the same page of the same book each week. This is our 10th year as a club and we are a family❤️ On April 12, we are a hosting a workshop session on zoom to raise money for our next book. Between the cost of shipping, tariffs, and tough economy, some of us need some extra assistance in purchasing our next book. So why not do a fundraiser?! Cool warm-up activities from Robert Hall @3rdfloorartist , locative collage lesson from Miss.Printed @miss.printed , Kellette Elliott @kelletteworks is covering image transfers, and Ika Vantiani @vantiani is discussing collage journaling. Invite a friend to our collage retreat which is less than 3 weeks away in Stanwood, WA. @curlygirlartstudio has generously donated a hot plate and encaustic materials (see slide two and three for WIPs from previous years), @blickartmaterials has THREE $50 gift certificates for our raffle, @goldenpaints has donated a product for the raffle, we'll have a massage therapist on-site on Saturday, and so much more .
