A few months ago, I had a dream about these specific black lives that we lost to police brutality. I took it as a calling to engage in the @blklivesmatter movement in a way that speaks my best language. This language isn’t protesting in the streets but rather protesting through my creative strengths of writing, directing and acting. I present this video to pay homage to all the black lives that we lost or were effected by police brutality.
To my cast, crew and music team, I am entirely grateful to you all for helping make my dream come true.
It’s a seed to a garden that I may never live to see. I love you all 🤎

Mother’s Day. honoring my mom, my sister, and aunt mimi. one of the most celebrated holidays for a reason and somehow also one of the hardest to plan because how do you truly thank the women who brought you into this world, shaped you, sacrificed for you, and continue to love you through every version of yourself.
my mother raised us while continuing to pour into youth here and in haiti. watching my sister and aunt mimi navigate motherhood as single parents with strength and grace has inspired me more than they know.
while building toward my own dreams, i think often about wanting to give the people you love the world while still building your own. Do what you can. so these photos are simply recognition of some strong, beautiful, abundantly caring women who helped shape me into who i am.
sending love to all the mothers, mother figures, friends, colleagues, and chosen family
only do good… i’ve been thinking about what that really means and it keeps coming back to being confident in yourself, because that confidence is what actually pours into the world around you. that’s responsibility to me and doing good isn’t always easy. it takes sacrifice, standing firm in different opinions as a creative, turning no’s into yeses as a founder, and finding ways to turn hurt into healing as a black man navigating this world & an advocate for youth. i don’t take it lightly. i feel honored to support my brudda’s @1rhythmsofthevillage brand @odgworldwide and everything it’s becoming. love you and the team for seeing me. We had a TIME on set!

There was SO much melanin at the @gettymuseum on Thursday! to my partners @lacommons thank you so much for the invitation to the photography and the black arts movement, 1955–1985 community reception. my friend and i had a beautiful time just being in the space, soaking in the ambience, connecting with both new and familiar faces, and really sitting with the truth captured through photography and film. thank you to the eyes behind the lens, past and present, for holding stories that needed to be seen, felt, and remembered. photography was and still is an ancient art form responsible for recording the truth, the pain, and the beauty of the struggle. Hugging my ancestors tightly hoping to make them proud.✊🏾

I recently submitted an application for an immersive art grant, and attending GIANTS has inspired me even more to share the type of art that I’ve been moved to create with incredible vulnerability through a beautiful, immersive art experience. Don’t wanna give away too much so, It’s giving prayers, with extra crossed fingers, that I’m awarded the opportunity to bring awareness, celebration and healing to a community that needs it, just as this exhibit is doing for a community of artists.
