There are moments when the world folds in on itself—when distance dissolves and someone once considered “far away” feels, quite suddenly, like family.
Our recent visit with Hilary Lipkin,
@lipkinh , was one of those moments. A distant cousin, perhaps—but now, unmistakably close.
At our latest members’ mixer, we were reminded just how small the world can be when you allow space for connection. What begins as an introduction so often becomes something richer—community softening into kinship. Hilary embodies this beautifully: an artist deeply attuned to what makes her head, her heart, and her hands come alive. And in turn, those around her are drawn in—held by the rhythm of her craft, her warmth, her unmistakable point of view.
It’s a gentle affirmation that when you follow what feels instinctive, you create with joy and curiosity, the right people find you. And sometimes, they stay.
Thank you, Hilary, for opening your whimsical home to us, and for sharing your story so generously. And to our Rue Pigalle community—thank you for showing up, for staying curious, and for continuing to champion the makers in our own backyard.
