Three performances of @annahmeredith ‘s Anno on the weekend with @the_halle at Aviva Studios. It’s been a while since we did in with full visuals in the round and it’s always a challenge trying to image the moving players back to their stage location. Thankfuly a great in house team and @dbaudiotechnik array processing helped a lot! IEMs and great support by @dbssolutions as well as projection wizardry by @jackrossaudio

Two very interesting concerts this week with @lcorchestra conducted by @robertamesmusic . As part of the Southbank center’s multitudes festival we were in the festival hall with a new piece of work celebrating the music that influenced the fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen. Orchestral forces blended with dance and videography to create a megamix from Purcell to Lady Gaga. RNSS put in @meyersoundlabs Milo, which performed fantastically on this paired with a @yamaha_proaudio_official Rivage PM10. The whole show was on the rails so QJump was used extensively in rehearsals to be able to jump around the score quickly. I also provided streamers for the conductor and had my DPA chair leg clips out on stage to give them a test run at the SBC. Lots going on in this piece and really chuffed how it all came together!

Lovely few days this week time traveling with the @bbcsymphonyorchestra with their 10 pieces concerts for key stage 2 kids. From Hildegard to Stravinsky with a bit of everything in between! Conducted by @ellie.slorach and presented by @yolandabrown with @jackjordansound looking after stage

Lovely time in Gent for a few days re-staging @annahmeredith ‘s Anno with @brock_orchestra and @jackrossaudio on lighting duties. First time on an @allenandheath Avantis. Didn’t hate it but felt it needed some dedicated hardware knobs. Lovely d&b install in @debijloke.

Back behind this thing last night mixing Abeer Nehme singing a tribute to the great ladies of Arabic music - Fairuz, Umm Kulthum, Asmahan and others. Backed by the @london.arab.orchestra and the @royalphilconcertorchestra and conducted by Basel Saleh. @mixperspective keeping the stage happy!

Last night at the Barbican, the @bbcsymphonyorchestra performed Stravinski’s Persephone, a piece that I hadn’t heard before and it was marvellous! Written for orchestra, chorus, kids chorus, solo tenor and narrator, it tells the story of the Greek goddess Persephone in three acts. Conducted by Sakari Oramo with Peter Tantsits and Amira Casar. The keen eyed amongst you will clock only one channel on the console. Sometimes one is all you need!

Two more wonderful concerts with @london.sinfonietta @mariusneset and @anton.eger . First in Harstad - a beautiful town deep in the Norwegian Fjords. Despite having a population of around 25,000 there is a wonderful concert hall with a bunch of @db__solutions J series with some E an xS dotted around for fills. We then got a boat further north into the arctic circle to Tromso for a gig at the Northern Lights Festival. Another @midasconsoles HD96 here. 3 out of 3 for Midas in Norway…

Fantastic start to our Norway trip last night with @mariusneset @anton.eger and @london.sinfonietta at Cosmopolite, Oslo playing his new piece Changes. First time on a @midasconsoles HD96 and after a fair bit of getting used to, has some great features. If you can get over the scariness of connecting your console to the internet, it’s actually a great idea to be able to “log in” to any HD96 and have all of your preferences, layouts and indeed show files available to you without having to transfer anything. Tonight we play in Harstad!

Fantastic start to our Norway trip last night with @mariusneset @anton.eger and @london.sinfonietta at Cosmopolite, Oslo playing his new piece Changes. First time on a @midasconsoles HD96 and after a fair bit of getting used to, has some great features. If you can get over the scariness of connecting your console to the internet, it’s actually a great idea to be able to “log in” to any HD96 and have all of your preferences, layouts and indeed show files available to you without having to transfer anything. Tonight we play in Harstad!

Last night I had an absolute blast mixing “beyond the console” again. We first did this programme a few years ago at the proms and then again with BBCCO and RTE. last night was conducted by @robertamesmusic presented by @elleosiliwood and performed by the @liverpool_philharmonic . Stands outs were the house LX and Video team doing an outstanding job pairing the programme to visuals so effectively.

Last night was the UK Premier of Julia Wolfe’s unEarth. Performed by the @bbcsymphonyorchestra , @bbc_singers and @finchleychildrensmusicgroup an conducted by Martyn Brabbins. Originally produced by @bangonacan this staged operetta looks at our environmental crisis through the eyes of the younger generations.
