🪩🪩🪩 COVERGIRL 🪩🪩🪩 I’ve been working professionally as an artist for nearly 20 years. That time has been filled with the many highs and lows of the creative process - endless challenges, skill building, hard lessons, relentless criticism, self doubt, imposter syndrome. But through it all, drive, resiliency, and the never ending desire to bring vision to reality. Basking in this trip through the world as an opportunity to visualize, experiment, learn, build, and create, because why not? The power of my mind and my hands is eternal and my responsibility to myself in this life is to indulge that as much as possible until the end of my time. I couldn’t be prouder that my first cover is something completely driven by joy, weird, fun, purely a challenge to myself and my skills. Seemingly impractical, side eye and why!? from many. But to myself, another why not? And slowly, but surely, removing my own barriers, one at a time. Truly a novel experience to be out in the wild and see your own work on a cover staring back at you, something I will be forever grateful for. Thank you to everyone who can see through the weird and the disco to the amount of time, effort, skill, vision, and grind it’s taken me to get this far. 💖 Thank you to fellow eccentric @schwinnatallcosts / @wowwhatstudio for always understanding the need for more sparkle. ✨ Thank you @tabias.croteau for building me yet another ridiculous set of 20” wheels without batting an eye 😂 Special thank you to: @made.bike / @souphorse / @bicyclingmag / @truebs / @t_seplavy /@thats_my_line / @trevorraab / @cmcsherry For your endless work to give platform to this little corner of the industry 💜

Two weeks ago I had a 2.5cm tumor removed from my knee joint. TGCT is a rare disease that can cause irreversible damage in joint spaces and is unfortunately commonly misdiagnosed for an average of 5 years. I was having increasing knee pain and locking issues since 2022. It was assumed to be a meniscus tear until last February 2024, when my knee and leg blew up so severely and painfully that I was sent to ER in fear of a blood clot. After a delightful experience of medical gaslighting and being denied imaging or further examination, I was sent home on crutches with no answers, and told to “go on modified duties at work and come back if it’s still bad in 14 days”. My own GP submitted an MRI request but told me current wait time is six months to a year for an imaging appointment. I ended up paying out for pocket for a private MRI, and suddenly doctors were like “oh wow, weird, there IS actually something wrong with your knee”. Then I got ping-ponged around the medical system through multiple surgeons and specialists for an entire year with little information or empathy until I finally put my (one good) foot down and demanded a timeline for my care. It has been a difficult year of extremely limited mobility, constant pain, muscle atrophy, stress around being unable to work to the necessary extent, not being able to ride bikes or do basically any physical activities, and stressing about how and when I might actually receive care and how that would further impact my work and life. I’m grateful to finally/hopefully be on the recovery side of things and I’m looking forward to being off crutches and getting back into the shop in March and hopefully/maybe back on a bike by summer. Thank you to everyone who has been patient and supportive of me during a real shit time. If anyone wants to go on some gentle walks, hmu. TLDR; healthcare is free but bad, listen to your body, knees r dumb, I’ve been rotting for an entire year, and don’t take no for an answer when it comes to your health and wellbeing. Bikes soon maybe. ✌🏼🚲

🎉PARTY CARGO🎉 “the more I ride the bike and the more I get to know it the better and better it rides. Which is amazing because it rode so good out the gate.” - @shredordead When Dylan first approached me about a gravel-oriented cargo build that both he and @angelarabideau could ride on long family #dogpacking trips, I was hesitant knowing it would be a big geometry and design challenge. I wanted to build something that performs well and doesn’t just look like an omnium, which is surprisingly tough given the constraints to design within. I marinated all my cargo bike riding experience and bike design knowledge and the result is Party Cargo: a super fun, responsive, lively, and yet still planted-feeling cargo bike. I’m so stoked on the design as a whole and the way it rides, so huge thanks to @shredordead / @latencylabs for giving me the opportunity and trust to run with this project despite the unknowns. Couldn’t have asked for better reception of it at @made.bike from the public and the industry - thank you all for seeing and appreciating the passion and the labour that goes into designing and creating lifetime objects like these. 📸: @jweinberg / @theradavist Custom direct mount bags: @hmpldesign #framebuilding #cargobike #madebike #handmade #handmadeincanada #steelisreal #4130society #squamish #madeinsquamish #madeinbc #mtb #gravelbike #bikepacking #baaw
