I’ve been working professionally as an artist for nearly 20 years. That time has been filled with the many highs and lows of the creative process - endless challenges, skill building, hard lessons, relentless criticism, self doubt, imposter syndrome. But through it all, drive, resiliency, and the never ending desire to bring vision to reality. Basking in this trip through the world as an opportunity to visualize, experiment, learn, build, and create, because why not? The power of my mind and my hands is eternal and my responsibility to myself in this life is to indulge that as much as possible until the end of my time.
I couldn’t be prouder that my first cover is something completely driven by joy, weird, fun, purely a challenge to myself and my skills. Seemingly impractical, side eye and why!? from many. But to myself, another why not? And slowly, but surely, removing my own barriers, one at a time. Truly a novel experience to be out in the wild and see your own work on a cover staring back at you, something I will be forever grateful for.
Thank you to everyone who can see through the weird and the disco to the amount of time, effort, skill, vision, and grind it’s taken me to get this far. 💖
