Just added to the shop is Flic Film's Double Shot half-frame camera! We wanted to get at least one roll through the camera before we posted it up for sale so we could give our honest feedback.
The Double Shot is a wonderful half-frame camera that’s lightweight and worry free as an everyday carry or travel companion. A half-frame camera shoots a vertical frame that's one half the size of a standard 35mm camera, meaning you’ll get twice the photos out of your normal roll of film (36 frames becomes 72, 24 becomes 48 etc) making the Double Shot more economical for snapshots.
We love having a camera we don't need to think twice about having in our bag that can cover just about anything with it's built in flash and focus free 28mm f/8 lens.
Have you tried Street Candy Psychedelic 400 yet? We have!
Without being too cliche, it's definitely a vibey film. Wonderful muted tones with forgivingly low contrast when the light is a little spicy. At 400 ISO it's a great everyday carry film full of vintage-inspired character.
@harmanphoto just dropped the first totally new colour film the world has seen in a long time. It's not a respool, it's a totally new ISO 200, high contrast, strong grained emulsion.
We're ordering our stock next week, want to make sure you receive film from our first shipment? Order by December 6th to make sure we get your new colour film on the first bike-load out the door. It's in the shop now.
Yes, we're planning on keeping regular stock of this new exciting experimental film after our first run!
Hello! We've seen some new folks following us the last couple days so let's do a little introduction again!
We're the new guys in the Sea to Sky serving the photography community with a strong lean into analog processes. We have a vision for the future of full lab service in Squamish and being a hub for photographers with studio and gallery space.
We're here growing and delivering film to your door via bicycle every week. Currently offering products from @ilfordphoto@flicfilminc@harmanphoto and able to special order many products not on our website.
Reach out if there's something you need and we can see what we can do to make it happen!
Ilford's Delta 3200. When a lot of folks think about high speed film they think about low light applications, but Delta 3200 is such a wonderful malleable film. Sure, shooting wildlife on a long lens benefits fast shutter speeds, but in daylight shooting the film at ISO 800 and a pulled development eased the contrast of this scene.
Shot on a Nikon F5 with a modern 200-500 f/5.6 lens. That lens is an electromagnetic diaphragm that the F5 can't close down, so it's always shot wide open at f/5.6.
Hi there. We made some very limited shiny stickers. We decided instead of selling them, we're giving them away!
The next 20 rolls of film ordered will get one sticker per roll! (Order 1 roll, get one sticker! Order 3 rolls, three stickers!)
Tell your friends!
Even Emily had fun in Iceland, see!
Thanks to @latencylabs , I was able to bring the Harman reusable 'disposable' camera along with, packed full of Kentmere 400.
We shot this roll of @flicfilminc Elektra to review and share the results. If you're not aware, Elektra is re-spooled Kodak Aerochrome. We sought out a few different lighting scenarios and subjects to show it's results through a variety of situations. We processed this in Flic Film's C-41 chemistry.
Full review and scans coming up later this week on the Analog Blog.

We just did a quick re-stock of the awesome @ilfordphoto / Kentmere ReUsable camera.
If it looks like a disposable camera, that's the idea! Its fixed focus makes it easy to use as an everyday carry.
It's also a great gift for someone who has never discovered the magic of film.
What camera and film combo is kicking in your bag right now? This Nikon FA with a motor drive is ready to blast through a couple rolls.
We just spoke with a friend who is secretly holding onto a Leica R3 that needs a fresh roll of film, what should they load up?
What can we say about FP4+? It's one of our personally most used films. Medium speed that can be pushed or pulled with great results.
Often you'll find FP4+ in our everyday carry rangefinder rated at ISO 400 for a little more working speed and contrast but still very sharp.
We also love it for our medium and large format cameras shooting at box speed, where the ISO 125 gives just a touch more working speed when we're adding contrast filters or polarizers.
Our Pre-Order week continues until Friday August 18th. Don't overlook this workhorse film stock for your fall film stash.
