I never thought I’d be posting something like this because I never planned on becoming a content creator.
I moved to Boston after graduation, started a consulting job that made sense on paper, and pretty quickly noticed I was getting through weeks without actually choosing any of it. So I started going to things like dinners, pop-ups, small events in random corners of the city. Not to post about them but just to feel like I was actually living here.
But I kept finding people doing really interesting things that they were clearly so passionate about. A chef testing a concept for one night. Events that disappear before most people even know they happened. And I wanted to be able to share them.
So here I am. I’m Sam. I’m 24, figuring life out, and sharing the things that feel worth showing up for. That’s genuinely all this is so if that sounds like your thing, hi.

My first time eating Haitian food in Boston had me deep frying a whole snapper. Chef Miche from Breez Gourmet and Sunflower savors host Haitian cooking classes where you learn to prepare traditional dishes while hearing the history and cultural context behind them. And the best part is that at the end everyone sits down and eats the meal together family-style.
Pro tip: Wear comfy shoes!

Tori Jiro just hosted an all-you-can-eat tuna cutting event where a 150-pound bluefin was carved live by Chef Chris Chung of Momi Nonmi. Eleven courses, unlimited sake, and a room full of people literally cheering over sushi. From toro tartare to kushiyaki skewers to rare cuts you’ll never see at a regular sushi bar, this was one of the wildest food nights I’ve been to in the city.
