After a 10 month hiatus, we can finally say, we’re back… well sorta. We’re taking over the space at 756 9th Ave in Hell’s Kitchen for a Monkey Thief residency while our final home gets built out next door.
Same drinks, same food and a lot of the same faces.

Fellow Astorians Alex @alex_simic88 and Tyler @hicktender have been traveling the world doing their esteemed cocktail pop-ups, recently getting back to the US from a whirlwind multi-stop tour through Asia. We now have the pleasure of hosting the crew for their first appearance in Queens. This is DD’s very first ever bar pop-up and we are excited for them to serve to you their delicious creations. 4 different cocktails, and only a limited amount of each one. These might very well sell-out before 7pm. We know it’s a school-night, hence the early start.

October 8 marked a major moment for Hong Kong’s bar scene. After congratulating our industry peers on their achievements in the World’s 50 Best Bars, AVOCA partnered with TORRES Brandy to host the official after-party!
That night, we welcomed two rising stars in the bar world — @monkeythiefbar from the U.S. and @tiao_beijing from Beijing. Each brought cocktails that perfectly reflected the unique character of their hometowns. It was a vibrant showcase of flavours where East met West, and both were equally impressive.
