@thealston_chicago has won the Best Restaurant Design award from @thebanchetawards , and we couldn’t be more elated! This recognition is a meaningful validation of our vision and the remarkable talent behind bringing The Alston to life. From the moment guests arrive, the space is designed to captivate. Custom chandeliers, layered textures, and sculpted ceilings working together to create a refined sensory experience. The result is a cohesive, immersive environment that mirrors the craft, precision, and artistry brought to the table by Chef Jenner.
We hope everyone has the opportunity to experience what we’re proud to call Chicago’s best designed restaurant!
Last week, we had the privilege of joining Village of Oak Lawn to break ground on a nearly 70,000 sq. ft. new facility that’s been years in the making!
Our journey began with a master planning assessment of their municipal center, a collaborative effort to align space needs with space constraints. That work evolved into a transformative plan for a new 911 Consolidated Dispatch Center designed to serve Oak Lawn and neighboring communities, and ultimately expanded into a complete re-envisioning of their Public Works campus, from operations and circulation to administration.
By merging these efforts into one project, we were able to leverage economies of scale, providing maximum value for taxpayer dollars and greater long-term operational efficiency. With completion anticipated in late 2026, this project is a true testament to thoughtful planning and partnership. We are proud to help bring this vision to life.

The Roy D. Blunt Center for Population Health and Equity is a transformational new addition to @kcuniversity 's Joplin, MO, campus, designed by @helix_kc to enhance connectivity, wellness, and community impact.
Architecturally, the design emphasizes transparency and light in a Modernist orthogonal structure. Ample glazing throughout the building invites daylight deep into the interior, while a restrained palette of white and black contributes to a clean, calming atmosphere.

We’re always growing to better serve our patients – and the expanded ENT and Audiology Clinics are just the latest example!
Colleagues and leaders recently gathered to celebrate the expansion and tour the renovated patient-care areas.
In recent years, CoxHealth has seen an increased demand for ENT and audiology services, with both clinics outgrowing their previous capacity. The newly renovated space -- located on the third floor of Ferrell-Duncan Clinic -- is now triple its original size, greatly expanding our ability to serve audiology and ear, nose and throat patients.
Now, the north and east wings of the floor are dedicated to ENT and the west wing is focused on Audiology. The expanded clinic allows us to better serve the community by offering care for both specialties in a one-stop shop. The fully remodeled department features state-of-the-art audiology suites and audio booths, providing care for patients dealing with tinnitus and other issue, for children with speech delays, and more.
We couldn’t have done it without the partnerships that helped design the space, including the teams at Torgerson Design Partners, RTM Engineering Consultants and Grooms Office Environments. Our general contractor on the project is DeWitt & Associates, Inc.
“We love the space and the quietness and the calmness that it brings,” says audiologist Dr. Teresa Pierpont. “Noise and commotion can make people nervous – having a quiet, calm space puts patients at ease.”
As we look to the future, the new space also brings the opportunity for new providers to join – we are proud of the growth of our clinic teams!
