I’m excited to share my brand new website for my styling & creative work. So much of my creative work starts with a #moodboard so that motif became the inspiration for my site’s design. I’m inviting you to take a look at an imaginary wall that showcases my personality and some of my favorite work (and dogs, obviously). It was important for me to show a more colorful version of myself on this platform. As much as I live in rustic tones (hello @withthegrains & #ourhilltophouse ), I love bright and bold concepts too, and I can dive into the style you want as a client. Consider yourself invited to the all new Quelcy.com Ps: Thank you to @412matt and @njpurdy for putting me at ease in front of the camera for a change.

A few years ago, I decided to finally take the plunge and enroll in @marieforleo ‘s B-School program. I'd long been a fan and follower of her web series and her brand of business and life advise. I wanted to spend more time thinking about my work strategies, to take myself more seriously, and to truly invest in myself. 💻📚 Right in the middle of the B-School program, I received an email from the woman who would become my book editor, so I followed Marie's advice to focus on the big dream and say no to the rest. The tools from B-School really did help me break down that overwhelming process of creating my cookbook in a very short period of time. The courses showed me the power of saying "no" and the power of getting crystal clear with goals and actions. When the Team Forleo email hit my inbox this past fall inviting me to share my story, I ugly sobbed because I felt so seen and validated. Working for yourself is hard. Collaborating with others is hard. Turning off my inner critic is probably the hardest of all. (On that note, be sure to encourage a woman in your life who is working her ass off!) 📽📺 The video link is in my profile. I'm grateful to have this video as a personal reminder, that even though what I talk about is still very much a work in progress, to see myself positively through someone else's lens. Figuring out life and meaningful work is a constant journey. Being kind to myself and celebrating myself is a constant practice. 🥰 I'm grateful for the chance to share my story and for the experience of meeting the other women who shared their stories at the shoot. The room was full of overwhelmingly positive support. ❤️

I love weddings! They offer a rare chance to come together, to celebrate love, to express deep sentiments, and to dance wholeheartedly. That being said, I’m pretty selective about the weddings I work on as a stylist, but when Marlene & Andrew approached me, I felt like I really struck gold! Our aesthetics and values aligned so closely, and our meetings usually turned into long, engaging conversations. They trusted me. Their special day was filled mostly with seasonal, foraged foliage, so the beautiful @pghbotanicgarden barn felt like a celebration of fall. Their special day became even more meaningful as tragedy struck #Pittsburgh with the Tree of Life shooting, but standing in a room full of friends and family celebrating love felt like the best form of resistance to senseless hate and violence. I’m now so grateful to count this couple amongst my friends. Cheers Andrew & Marlene! Happy one year anniversary. Here’s to many more years and many more dances! 🥂🍾🥂🍾 📷 @courtpowell_ Florals & design by me
