This was my first time meeting @nickpiplica at the fools ride. After talking for a while, we discovered we live just a few miles from each other. Who knew? I know we go to these events to ride, but making new friends and connecting with people is what they are all about. That’s the magic of getting the fools together. @kane.appalachianadv
A little frost on the @greenchileadv never hurts. Just means it was a good adventure. The Uprising Soft Rack has been a game changer for me. Its adaptability is unmatched in my opinion. I suggest you give it a try.
For a while now I've been working on a project to document the ADV community by shooting some gritty portraits of dirty riders. Hopefully in a year or two I can put out photo book that we can all look back on someday and enjoy.
I was able to grab a few awesome portraits at the Fools Ride. Who knew Trevor Schoonover of Tallboys and Trackmasters was such a model!
I think it’s safe to say that Fools Ride 2026 was the best one yet, at least for me(I’ve only been twice). Over the next few days I’ll be posting the images I captured this year. Some funny, some embarrassing and some will make you feel foolish. It was great catching up with everyone and I can’t wait until the next event. I think we all owe a big thank you to @kane.appalachianadv and the others who make these events possible. Our lives are richer because of them.
Day two of Fools Ride. It was a great day leading the Dual Sport Moderate ride. Did some creek crossing and a few hill climbs. All in all great day with great people. @shawn
