Saigon Supper Inn is a Vietnamese bistro located at Manly Wharf, serving some of the best Bánh Mì in the city. The brand was inspired by the travel periodicals of 1970's Vietnam — a period steeped in the fading romance of French colonial influence where the optimistic language of leisure travel defined the visual landscape. @saigonsupperinn

Hubert Estate, established in 1862 by pioneering winemaker Hubert de Castella and re-born in 1966 following the great depression, has long been considered one of the defining Yarra Valley Wineries. Owners Gerry and Andrew Ryan commissioned a comprehensive redevelopment in 2022 that now houses a restaurant, an Indigenous art gallery, an events space, and cellar door. The new architecture responds to its prominent corner site at Maroondah Highway and St Huberts Road, embedding into the rolling terrain while the cellar door rises in a single dramatic curve. Our identity system mirrors this duality—a grounded, sophisticated typographic foundation paired with expressive illustrations by Ilya Milstein that capture the estate's layered history and contemporary ambition. Marmelo, the Portuguese word for quince, is Ross and Sunny Lusted's homage to Portugal and the art of wood-fired cooking. The restaurant captures the spirit of intimate coastal European establishments, where daily market culture weaves through community life much as it does in Melbourne. The identity takes its cues from Lisbon's street character— detailed shopfront typography, weathered tactility of neighborhood tascas, and the iconic yellow Tram 28 winding through the city's historic quarters. Recently recognised with One Hat by the Age Good Food Guide, Marmelo has also earned a place on the Critics' Pick list and recognition as a finalist for New Restaurant of the Year. @marmelorestaurant Designed with @longwen.wei Interior Design @mitchellandeades Architecture @kennedy_nolan Photography @smartanson

Belles Hot Chicken, Bondi opened in October 2023. POI was tasked to create a distinctive and fresh brand language for the space which drew heavily on 60s and 70s American diners. We developed typography, menus, signage, wayfinding moments and a custom made clock that encapsulated this era alongside the laid-back vibes of Bondi Beach. The Hopper Joint brand identity is inspired by the eternal energy of the spirited streets of Colombo, the colour, the hand-crafted signage, the art and the illustration. Every touch-point has been considered to create a modern, timeless yet archival Sri Lankan restaurant brand without being overtly clichéd. Projects of Imagination embraced Jason Jones and Brahman Perera’s vision for a restaurant that focused on blending Sri Lankan classic and contemporary detail, earthen and artisanal finishes, Bawa-inspired architectural elements, and a magical ambiance. We commissioned Artist Namasri Niumim to create a set of bold contemporary character-driven illustrations, inspired by Sri Lankan fairy tales and traditional elements like spice tins, hoppers, and elephants. This approach maintained a unique sense of warmth, whimsy and ambiguity while honouring cultural heritage.
