Positioned on Gore St, in the heart of Fitzroy, I wanted the design of the leadlight to feel intrinsically Melbourne—dramatic, and moody, with a hint of grey. Because it’s not Melbourne without a bit of cloud, right? Sometimes, when you’re so immersed in a project, it’s hard to fully appreciate the work that’s gone into it, and the growth that’s happened along the way. The final stretch is often a hard slog, with install days filled with nerves, followed by a crash rather than celebrations. But watching this video back (captured by the architects @scar__ ), I feel incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and deeply grateful for the people around me who worked tirelessly to bring this project to life. This has been our world for the past couple of months, so I also want to thank my current clients friends and family for your patience, understanding, and support ā¤ļø Design: @foolsglass Leadlight build: @foolsglass @anoukhartlieb Architecture & Interior Design:Ā @scar__ Builder: Roxy Projects Client: Church of Nazarene, Mt Waverley Sign-writing:Ā @anchorsignsaustralia Transport: @picassos.delivery Installation: Glass Glass #glass #leadlight #stainedglass

Meet ā€˜Chunk-elabra’, a reimagining of a traditional candelabra for @synthesis.mdw Melb Design Week. She’s moody, she’s adaptable, she’s glowing, she’s chunky, but above all, a true labour of love (that tested me and my loved ones eeek!) First professional pic, credit to the one and only: @space_man.studio The rest: in my beautiful friend’s @alicemulleeney house w/ a vino in hand

THIS is what keeps me going. The most special reaction from Lisa and her family as they rallied around to install their sky light 😭😭

A skylight fit for a little prince! A special commission for Lisa’s baby nursery. While designing this one, my intention was to create something that had a sense of longevity. A piece that would be treasured in the nursery now, and for generations to come as the space evolves.

How do traditional trades shape the future of heritage? Join us at Tasma Terrace for an evening conversation exploring the role of lead-lighting and traditional crafts in contemporary conservation and creative practice. As part of the Australian Heritage Festival 2026, this panel brings together practitioners including Eloise McCullough from @foolsglass and Dr Bronwyn Hughes to share insights into how these specialist skills are applied across heritage projects and modern design. Framed by this year’s theme, Change, the discussion will explore how craft traditions evolve, why they remain vital to a sustainable future, and how we can encourage the next generation into these trades. Following the panel, join a small guided tour of Tasma Terrace’s recently conserved ground floor spaces, led by Conservation Manager Alyce McCue. šŸ—“ļø Thursday 23 April šŸ•  5:30 pm – 7:00 pm šŸ“Tasma Terrace, 6 Parliament Pl, East Melbourne šŸŽŸļø $10 Presented by the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) with support from @heritagecouncilvic .
